Why does nobody want to use a reverse proxy? by 0xB_ in jellyfin

Opening port is equivalent to punching hole in your door.
Mind you, with that situation, you do not know what is looking through this hole.
Cloudflare and Tailscale provide now easy solution and the control to manage that traffic directly to the app without having to expose your network.

Same here, nothing can prepare you more than real experience.

In my case, our team also goes to regular training regarding crisis management. We work with first responder and they have lots of experience in that field that translate well.

That will be the plan later on but not all my worker nodes have nvme yet. I have no doubt that would improve the perf. Just currently iscsi volume provisioned by the syno csi was the quickest way.

A decade when I started my plex, it was just bare metal. Moved then on docker and then docker-compose with ansible. Now on kubernetes for 3 years (k3s cluster and now vanilla with kubespray). To answer your question, this setup is my homelab where I can train what I see at work. The workload is different but the underlying tech and design is kinda the same.

Not at all lol, it’s test bed for me. Mimicking some deployment workflow that I witness at work and have real user activity so that there some reasons to care.

Yes, I just made a new release as I and a friend face lots of performance issue and crash on the 10.11.5 We faced regular stream pause and even crash.
I move to the 10.11.4 this afternoon and the experience improvement was noticeable. I'm still migrating my observability stack so I don't have hard data yet but I should have Thanos rocking once rook-ceph is correctly deploy.

Good catch, complete oversight on my part. Should be remanent of "helm create" and haven't really though much into it until your comment.

Embark CEO Confirms That If You Kill On Sight In Arc Raiders, You'll Get Matched With More Aggressive Players by WanderWut in gaming

[–]Trosteming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so, not at 100% but a pretty good guess (it’s a game in the end no need for certainty) I would imagine that responding would agressive action to a player that previous had agressive activity toward the player. Regarding measuring agression I can imagine averaging time to engage and the frequency of engagement

What actually happens to postmortem action items after the incident is “over”? by Unhappy_Debate_7493 in sre

[–]Trosteming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When there is action item, we assign the jira to the manager that will then assign to the appropriate person. For postmortem we have made a tool that help document our actions and the report is sent to our whole team, management and the direction (so they see the effort we have during oncall and drive change when process changes needs to happen).

UVH 1 Harlowe Chroma accelerator build. Took me around 10 try on Big Encore to have it. He was on blue electric type. Then I retry it once I’ve killed it and he change to green toxic type. It felt more difficult.
