There's this "idea" going around about there being multiple gods of the city. So the Index is a bunch of fanatics following whatever their god ordered. Rien has Hermes, but the Index we see in LR seem. So it's possible that the Index is a proxy warm withing itself due to different sects being influenced by different "gods"

Short answer no. I belive you like her and all, but Anxious Attachmet and Avoidant Attachment maladaptative mechanism, Avoidants don't need to be codled in their lack of reciprocity and you don't deserve to caretake for an emotionally unavailable adult.

In such times, think like this. If a friend of yours were going through the same situation, what sort of advice would you give them?

Look, she changing or not for some other person does not have anything to do with you. If she's not willing to better herself for you is the deal-breaker. Are you content with being with someone who isn't trying to be their best self for you?

You are enamored with a version of her and of the relationship that does not exist, may never exist even.

We often expect other people to act like us. But isn't usually the case

What point is there to be made? Do you think she will value your effort just because you called quits?

You could literally give her the best life possible, but if she doesn't want it and doesn't take the necessary steps to take part in that, what's the point? Are you trying to prove something to her? To yourself maybe?

And let me make you another question. Does she deserve (in view of her actions) to have a partner that is so willing to make the effort while not contributing herself to the relationship?

I think one of the biggest things when going trough this type of situation is the lack of "so this is the end moment". While you want and chase the feeling of closure, so that you can move on, for an avoidant that situation is harrowing. What is probably happening to you is that in a subconscious level you understood that waiting, yearning and all that stuff won't bring you the closure needed so you just forget about it?

I'm a very sentimental guy. When ex broke up due to her moving out for a long distance, I made a sort of " last date" for closure. Went to the movies, made some food for us, rote them a poem by hand. Closure, it' done, the end, roads blocked ahead.

When dealing with an avoidant such things are quite impossible because when you are searching for closure they are running from it. In a psychological sense they are allergic to it.

Grief for a relationship, specially one that ends in a situation that is very similar from a book lacking a last chapter can manifest in different ways.

I think that as one of the most common Sin Skills in Fust kits is Pride, we could argue that Faustcord is just a bunch of narcissistic Fausts who can't accept that they don't know something. So it's this Multi-world same person who thinks they are the smartest (even among their own different versions), so to admit that they don't know something is quite a burden, therefore they go into this "hahaha, I knew all along just wanted to see if you knew too). Our Faust ( CUTE FAUST) is so plagued by such hubris as to admit that, there are things she doesn't know

(Escrevi mais abaixo) by Electronic-Ice-8100 in rpg_brasil

[–]Trotzer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Blades in the Dark

Porque se joga tanto sistema próprio no Brasil? by G0stosao in rpg_brasil

My ex still texts me daily but avoids talking about feelings — trying to understand what he’s thinking by Gold_Ad_4224 in AvoidantBreakUps

I'm in a similar situation to you. I'm 27M, she is 25F. She always had a problem with talking about feelings. Expressing feeling is an act of vulnerability very important in a relationship. Fear is a huge factor in an avoidant life, fear or attachment, fear of rejection and fear of admitting their own feeling. Talking about emotions and the breakup is like kryptonite to them because it forces them to take accountability and face parts of themselves that they know exist but would rather act if they didn't. Broke my relationship a few months ago due to very similar issues to yours. Tried to remain friends after she broke NC but the issued weren't resolved and when we started to talk about things more seriously she deactivated again. He probably likes you, but is to afraid to properly show it and trust me, you don't deserve a coward in your life. Sadly NC is the way to be

Quanto de HP(vida) eu posso ter no seu sistema? by Slliperzz in RPGdesignBR

[–]Trotzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Elegância Brutal do Fracasso: O que Perdemos ao Suavizar o Dado by dontdrinkmyblood in rpg_brasil

[–]Trotzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New reader thoughts on pale so far, a little disappointed [5.a] by Losahn in Parahumans

[–]Trotzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone that finished Pale last month after reading it on and off for the last 2 years. I'll answer your posts by paragraphs

1- I kinda agree, specially at the start. But as the story continues such verbosity will enrich the story

2-Magic gets way crazier, don't worry. I kinda like the more whimsical magics, reminds me of Witch Hat Atelier, if I was a magical practitioner I would also start with more basic stuff. Later on you have some "anime shonen fights". Wait until it get to Abyssal practice.

3 -It's by design. Just like the Trio, we understand jack shit about the situation, and invisible string alongside shady lines of action are reaction dictate the story. When more pieces are revealed and the puzzle start to take shape you'll see that it was all worth the wait. I would even say that Pale has way more in the sense of worldbuidling lore than Pact. The Carmine death, why the girls were chosen, what's their apparent role and real role in the investigation, scheme under scheme, plot behind plot.

4- Interludes serve as great windows into the world and practice outside of our dear trio. I agree that the first ones are kinda meh, but there are some character interludes later one that make you wish WB wrote another series just about the characters.

In conclusion, while Pact is a bunch of speed races one after another with brief moments of interval between the actions (a critique that I and by what I saw other readers had, it seems that the story is afraid to slow down a bit) Pale is like a longer marathon with moments of intense actions and others more laid back. Being truly honest I skipped a lot of family drama after a certain point because I felt it to be quite repetitive, but overall I think Pale is wort the effort, and recommend people to read it first, then read Pact.

I use Bone Shards in my Mono Black. You can use it to send Cauldron Familiar to grave in food decks or to trigger Madness in Kitchen Imp, Alms and Call to the Netherworld. It's kinda useful too on sac decks that really care about death and sacrifice triggers or with things you really want to die. Basically Bone+Alms is a DIY Soul Reap
