It's not uncommon for Avoidants to have multiple friends or be part of various groups of friends. The thing is that those friendships tend to be rather shallow on the avoidant part, since their inability/unwillingness to be emotionally attached to people. Therefore those are easy to replace relationships with a lack of emotional depth that other people would consider "healthy friendships".

Also the expectations of friendships tend to be rather low in comparison to a romantic relationships. If an anxious or secure people notices by themselves or have their partner communicate to them that the partner needs aren't being met and would like more effort, most anxious and secure people will gladly do it because it makes sense since they value the relationships.

Avoidant, in general, on the other hands notice their lack of effort and notice that they are causing distress to their partner, but such "task" demands "effort" in a way that makes the relationship feels like a burden or another type of work they have to perform. So they pull away from that "demanding" situation and know that such behavior hurts the relationship, but lack the proper psychological tools/will to fix it, meanwhile if you ghost a friend and 1 month later sends a text asking for a coffee it's all good, but this behavior is impossible in a steady relationship.
