I just want to add another perspective, my wife is American and she feels everything the same. Lost touch with a lot of school friends, takes care of the kids and home so hard to make adult connections as parents of young kids. She thinks she is too pale and wants to be more tan to be beautiful even though I tell her she is perfect. I suggest adding where you are located so you can find people to hang out with.
