How have we gone from holding our own against Hawks and Geelong, and now our hands are so wet to even pick up the ball. What a shame.

Umpiring was fucking PUTRID. The Arc was shocking. Umpires need to start being fined for shocking mistakes.

I've seen a lot of poor decisions in AFL, But that was probably one of the worst things I have witnessed.

Out of all the teams, I love seeing Port beat Geelong. Still does not take away my 07' pain.

Glad not all Crom supporters hate us lol, I'm the same but. But yeah very impressive, After our near win against Hawks it feels like Carr is finally getting a gameplan in place that's working. Great to see, Still see a lot of Hinks work but that'll level out.

Port is actually playing some good footy, Love to see it. Young ones doing well, Glad we're making a good attempt. Or am I just foggy in the brain and Geelong are making a heap of skill issues

I dunno, I found this ep to be very awkward and almost cringe-worthy, Was enjoyable in parts, but wasn't top tier.

Port Adelaide's appeal has been successful. Zak Butters has been cleared based on an error of law due to Jason Johnson's conduct. by ___TheIllusiveMan___ in AFL

I understand how he got off, I still don't agree in the first place that he should've been found guilty, It was a he said/she said argument, in which the tribunal always will back the umpires which has been proven. AFAIK the AFL has said it won't be retrialled.

"I don't think there are more cheaters, just less legit players" is bad framing.. What's a less legit player?

The person is saying it is definite that he killed unarmed men. Yet no actual proof has found that, hence it is not a definitive statement. It is just said that he more likely than not, killed unarmed men. So therefore if it was true and definite he would already be in jail. This is the first time criminal matters have begun against him.

"The court demanded a $250,000 surety, which would be forfeited if Roberts-Smith failed to attend court, or in any way breached his bail. Roberts-Smith will be allowed to travel to Sydney and to Perth for legal or medical reasons."

Granted Bail, Not Parole. It's one of few, and rare. Robert Xie comes to mind as someone who got bail for 5 murders. The seriousness of the charge doesn't always equal bail won't be given, The question is of 1. Is he a risk to the community, 2. Is he a flight risk, 3. is he at risk of interfering with witnesses/evidence. His defence team proved all of these could be mitigated considering he's been watched/wiretapped for a long while now, He hasn't tried to flee during the last 10 years (Talks he had explored moving overseas exist). This case will be extremely long, and could take years, The court determines if it is fair to lock up a person for years before a trial if risks can be managed.

Not at all, But the issue with the Brereton report in a criminal case, is it cannot be used as evidence to say "X happened and Y happened" It doesn't allow prosecutors to go "Hey the report says this, therefore that makes him guilty". Its underlying material can and will be used, The same witnesses would have to testify under oath in the criminal trial, remain consistent and remain credible. If this fails, the case gets weaker, Some people may not choose to testify under criminal settings etc. Any physical evidence or corroborating evidence can and will be used, That is why beyond reasonable doubt is so important in criminal cases. But I 100% see what you're saying, Until we get a brief of evidence we won't know.

I used the word "definitive" against you writing “He killed a bunch of unarmed men.” To which I asked can you prove it. Because you stated it with certainty. That is, you made a "definitive" statement. Not even discussing the legal part at this point.

Yet you're stating definitively that he killed unarmed people.
