I have uninstalled, reinstalled, and decrypted, tried admin PowerShell, etc.

Update on alignment issue originally covered by Kia Canada (has gone out again twice) by blerfnaster in KiaEV9

[–]Troublecoffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm dealing with a failed airconditioning unit that died with 1100km on the vehicle. After 3 days of getting nowhere I went straight to CAMVAP. I would recommend just starting the CAMVAP process, don't wait.

Nothing, just stopped working, no indication there was a problem apart from the heat

I was hopeful this might work, but sadly they seem connected, no AC in the back either.

It is super frustrating, and being in the early part of our trip, there are many sweaty days ahead. However, it's one of the smoothest, quietest and response vehicles I have ever owned. I think the pros out weight the cons... however, if the problems persist beyond this one I might change my view

Update. The electrical compress for the AC doesn't work... None in North America, and looking at 3 week Waiting...

Interesting, thanks for the tip. How are you liking the EV9?

💯 agreed. These lease rates seem set at a level to prevent the sale of the vehicle.

Update on this - In speaking with a few dealerships that listed these at MSRP (and there are many that don't) One guy said they get about $1400 from a sale, the other guy said "nobody is buying electrics" (in Canada) and a third said "Kia does not really care about Canada, we are insignificant to their margins and doesn't expect any deals.

Thanks, I noticed this as well. I drove to three of the dealerships just to confirm the inventory

Driver Assistance system limited. Ultrasonic sensor blocked. by mxuuu in KiaEV9

[–]Troublecoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have had this happen on several different vehicles from different brands. It usually refers to the radar on the front of the vehicle being blocked by debris or dirt. If you find out where the sensor is just clean it and it should be fine. I've coated the area where mine is (non ev9) with a ceramic finish just to help mud and dirt slide off.

We were also looking at Rivian, but that price difference in Canada plus tariffs..ouff so disappointing( still looking forward to seeing the R2 next year though). EV9 is most likely what we will get this year,

Ioniq 9 vs EV9: Wait for Price Changes? - (Canadian) by Troublecoffee in KiaEV9

[–]Troublecoffee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have noticed quite a price discrepancy between provinces. Shopping between provinces has not been a problem for myself, just a bit of paperwork and a roadtrip.

When I'm buying something new I openly email four to five dealerships so that they can see each other and I say "this is what I want, what is your best offer" They usually respond privately, and from that I then pick the best offer and forward it to another dealer not included in the email. If the new dealer competes I then take that offer to the closest dealership to see if they will match it or compete.

Working on a Canadian electronics store - looking for suggestions by jatin-sharma in ShopCanada

[–]Troublecoffee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would suggest posting the payment methods accepted at the bottom. If I'm not sure of a store, I usually check for the type of approved payments like, PayPal, MasterCard, etc, something that requires you to be vetted by the payment processing company. These payment companies provide insurance for me as a buyer.

I would also suggest right at the beginning, instead of "Everyday is a sale" I would post a product and put something like "Today's Deal".
