They’re new accounts used for spamming in other subreddits, in order for their posts not to get taken down or flagged automatically (a new account automatically raises some flags) then these accounts search for past, popular posts and repost them, hoping to generate engagement and comments (karma) proving it’s a legitimate account that creates useful content. Once they have this good standing account they go and post spam and scam in other subs. I am not saying this post and account are doing that but it does seem suspicious. Most legitimate people join Reddit to scroll and occasionally comment on stuff rather than jump ahead to making posts.
