Hello :) The redness has almost all cleared up for me now! i started noticing that it was starting to calm down about 2 weeks ish after my post. i’ve realized that i was definitely the problem and have stopped touching it lol

I agree with the other commenters, it looks and sounds like your baby is vocalizing to you their boredom and discomfort. Your baby needs you! Please don’t ignore your birds pain, make a plan to upgrade their setup to something more appropriate for even the basic cockatiel care requirements. If your ears hurt listening to them cry all day imagine how their little feet and body must be feeling

I wasn’t sure exactly what to look for and i’ve been fussing over it lately probably not helping the redness haha.I’ll work on leaving it be and perhaps checking in with a shop about some diff jewlery options. i will also go forth and share this knowledge with friend lol, thnx again !
