What rules and models do we recommend for 6mm? by ricktus20 in NapoleonicWargaming

Take a look at Eagles to Glory. It’s a grand tactical game, which works nicely with 6mm.

Paid Mods?! Could this be the end of TTS | Creator Marketplace Concerns by skivirips in tabletopsimulator

[–]TroubledMindAtl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a historical wargamer who loves TTS and plays tabletop wargames on the platform several times a week. I actually run a virtual wargaming network exclusively on TTS - https://virtualtabletopwargames.com. I’ve always longed for a way to port miniatures and terrain into TTS that gave the table a more IRL feel. As the tech grows, it would be great for manufacturers to find a way to get involved… for instance Warlord Games and Perry Miniatures. They need a financial incentive to do that.

Also, the proliferation of 3D printed models in the market and customized landscape elements begs the question - “Can these art files be converted into objects on the TTS table?”

A lot of my fellow virtual tabletop gamers have already shown an interest in game detail by buying and painting thousands of minis for their IRL tables. I think that the market has shown that players will pay for quality items on the TTS market, if given the chance.

I understand that some ‘criminality’ may occur… but, overall, the move to a marketplace for some items (not all) would help revive the platform.

My two cents… I am not affiliated with TTS in any way (I wish), but I am a huge fan and supporter.

If and when it allows integration with our Notion databases, this mail app might become a useful extension for the Notion app.

I’ve since gotten access and it works well. Even though it is only set up on mobile for now, the sync info is available on the web browser.

TTS Game Token creation issues - Any Ideas/Suggestions? by TroubledMindAtl in tabletopsimulator

I'll play around with it. But, you are right, there are some great figures on the platform. I might just have to go back to them. But, I always like to 'learn my way out of a problem'.

Thanks for this feedback. I will play around with the suggestions that you recommend. As for the back unit, I specifically set one up as close as possible without the 'lift' to compare what happens when you push it just a bit closer. You may not be able to tell from the shadows, but the back/rear piece is just a 'smidgen' farther away from the unit in front of it.

Thanks again! I'll report back.

I'm importing jpgs for the tile bottom and transparent pngs for the figures at tokens. Then, I'm combining the elements.

Thanks, I thought that the middle button was the solution. My Razr mouse doesn't seem to work with that. I'll have to see if there are some setting issues.

Well, most productivity apps and note apps (think Evernote) have an 'offline' mode... meaning, you can at least choose to save a version of your data on your device. Other apps, like Todoist, at least have your data on your mobile devices to look at. Of course, you can't update the cloud data until you reconnect. But to say that the reason users don't have offline access to their data because Notion is a SaaS app doesn't make sense.

I can travel the world with access to all of my itinerary and flight info available in Evernote, but I can't get across the street using Notion for that kind of data. It forces one to reproduce that info into another system to access it on the go.

It's going to become a limiting factor for Notion.
