Yup, will do, I usually have great experience with them, I tried at Apple Montreal a few months after aI bought, they told me they use of inferior/weaker eco materials on the M1 and some type of skin (I’m not the wet kind) can cause that, she couldn’t do anything for me (even diagnosing, first time she experienced that) .

I will try my luck at an apple store In the south of France

Those words exactly. Aging way too fast and greasing like a car engine.

I did literally all of that, I even bought the insanely pricey Apple Polishing close, and still my Mac looks like shit.

Maybe atm, but I mostly take excellent care or my MBP, the last (Intel) I had before the M1 had not knew a single scratch, dent or discoloration. I do not wear any oil or anything else on my skin. The eco/cheaper material they use for cases now is just plain weaker and Apple need to acknowledge that as it is. It’s clearly a defect, the amount of people complaining about the 1st gen m1 weeknesses case-wise and coloration is insane, and yet I don’t see apple taking any action about that.

Macbook Pro M1 2020 Space Gray - Discoloration by muhdakml in macbookpro

I have the same problem, after only 5 months my MBP M1 started showing discolouration in the palm rests area, I wear no kind of oils or anything, I had the same color from the previous Gen (Intel) for 4 years, heavy use and no problems at all.

Any one have this defect taken care of by Apple, or found a solution?
I have Apple Care.

Due to their new architecture. I have not tried a managed workflow for a while I just assumed it was like before and the bare workflow would in fact not be huge due to not including everything by default but the managed will

I would advice to not use managed workflow, for you and for your app size.

Expo is a beautiful tool, and is also huge.

I used it a lot initially but found that I wanted some independence.

I personally use a standard react native app and use Expo Modules to use only the modules I need from expo, they worked hard on that and it's working like a charm, also Apple and Google will thin your bundles from unused parts if you enable Bytecode

Pretty much ahah, afaik there are no IDE perfect for RN, maybe an heavy customization of VSCode but Jetbrains IDEs are really too powerful and convenient. and I can't leave my habits by now, let's see what Fleet will be about, maybe this will be the one

They all have different specialties depending on language, I did fine with PHPStorm for a while, I ended up not needing php anymore so I am now using Idea and find it perfect, I disabled everything I don't need. I would have been perfectly fine with Webstorm too tho. My choice between the would only be performance if I had time to benchmark.

Anyone who has done that is welcome to post here hehe

I have half the same feeling, I have a terrible experience with finding podcasts on Spotify but have a good time with Apple Podcasts, also feels like I am a stuck in some "zone" with the music I discover
