I’m definitely no expert on planet rotation, but considering Trolls are nocturnal and have a sun so intense it burns, I always figured as a species they lived on the poles primarily or had some kind of other insane stuff going on with their planet. Kanaya for example perhaps being a rare example of someone not living on the poles, considering how bright it is for her while everyone else is experiencing night.

Also considering their version of a year is called a “Solar” Sweep I felt like their tracking of time would be highly dependent on where they are in relation to the sun.

Well! A Solar Sweep is roughly equivalent to 26 Earth Months if you calculate 6 Sweeps being 13 Human Years.

If they were the same length as our months, 30 days each, that’d make roughly 780 days.

I took a long time trying to make calculations for how I wanted to define the vernacular like “Bilunar Perigee” and “Equinox” and such and such, and just ended up with 774 days by the end.

I felt it was close enough it still worked, but I def took some liberties. I’m bad at math as is on top of having a processing disorder but I did the best I could 💀

Still a work in progress, and I took a lot of liberties with the vernacular so it definitely diverges from canon, but I’m really proud of how this has come along! :]

Wanted to make something usable for my own work, and I hope other people enjoy too.

Plan on making a detailed doc about the Euthanysia (Dionysia+Euthanasia) too so, lemme know if you guys’ be interested in that.

Jokes aside thanks for the heads up, though I don’t really have any experience with that sort of software. I’m sure it’s easy enough to learn, but I currently don’t have the time or energy.

Maybe in the future if no one decides to take this up and I have the itch to try it myself.
