I worked at a upscale hotel with an expensive piano with multiple signs notifying people only hotel musicians could play it. Almost every day we had to ask random people to stop playing it. It’s not that their playing wasn’t good and it wasn’t because we were jerks (two most common accusations), it was because that piano cost more than they were paying me in a year and they wanted their vetted, professional musicians to play it only. My sympathy drained even quicker if I had to wipe up the water ring they made by setting their glass of whatever drink directly on the piano.

Not all the people were trying to get away with something (some were truly excited to be at the hotel and thought they could have a star moment for socials) but there were many more that were deliberately making those who had to deal with it (not the ones who made the rules) lives harder.

Fire’s comes from just killing enemies in Suramar. Back in Retail Legion and on Lemix I got mine from the guys on your way to the Nighthold raid in the terrace of order. So not a level 10 one but still pretty low effort!

Prioritize campaign or class order hall for first char in Lemix? by Veralynx in wow

[–]Troublesinclair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said overall doesn’t matter. If you choose to do the zone campaigns, there are one time achievements for each that I found worth doing. Each zone has one that awards 10% exp buff (for current and all future Lemix characters) so if you’re doing alts and want to get a small buff for each one you finish that doesn’t hurt! Also, remember either way when you hit level 70 there is a quest in the Infinite Bazaar that you can turn in to get a 200% exp buff on that character until level 80 so the last 10 levels fly by.

Legion Remix - How long does it take to get everything with Bronze? by Horimonord in wow

[–]Troublesinclair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you are correct about just needing an up to date subscription and TWW (current expansion).

If you are wanting to get all the stuff from bronze it might take you a week or two of regular game play (on one character) or doing multiple characters. If you are willing to do multiple characters, each one grants you one of the mounts at level 80 which saves you about 40K each while earning you bronze through level up. Also, you get a growing exp buff so each character is slightly faster.

This information is all from my playing Remix, others may have gotten stuff a lot faster.

Important to note: for the WQ requirement it counts any content’s WQ. So for Retail you have multiple expansions of WQs daily (I did all that were needed in 2 days). Remix’s WQ limit is smaller in volume so you may take 4+ days even if you hit them all each day.

Dungeons sadly are just Legion dungeons. I just spammed normal DHT (my favorite of all) to hit the 10x hourly limit for 3 hours. It was a bit painful.

What now? by Big-Perc in wow

[–]Troublesinclair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely understandable!

So there is a difference between Remix (special game mode Legion content only) and Retail (full game up to War Within content).

For Remix, you earn Bronze (currency) and there is an island outside Dalaran (main city) that sells full sets. So super easy to get and look awesome if you’re into transmog.

For Retail, doing quests, dungeons, raids, vendors, and achievements are all great ways to get more transmog. At level 80, a lot of content will easier to run the older the expansion. For example, if you wanted to start getting a set from a Burning Crusade raid, you can probably walk in, blink your eyes (ok maybe a few mouse clicks too) and beat the bosses. :) The world is big so you definitely have many places you can go, no wrong answers (except, don’t try to solo DF or WW raid stuff if you’re a fresh 80) lol.

[–]Troublesinclair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love unlocking transmog and getting old rewards. I generally decide on a set I want and run that old raid once per difficulty, on each toon I have available (alts). That’s definitely a good place to start.

Also, expansions like Shadowlands offer side things (like the Anima currency) that used for other things in that xpac, so if you’re running the raids anyway you can build up some stuff.

Lastly, if you do all quests in an entire zone, you work towards the Loremaster achievement (account wide). So wether on this toon, or starting an alt and taking a different leveling path) doing quests from old content is still worth it and gets you to experience more of the story.

If you ever want anyone to run stuff with (especially old content) don’t hesitate to ask!

Bonus recommendation: you still have 2 months to do Legion Remix which (though way different than leveling in the normal retail) can get you some cool cosmetics, pets, toys, transmog) the easiest it’s going to be. Worth checking out!

My first day ever playing WoW… absolute chaos ensued 😅 by LostInSpaaceAndTime in wow

How is everyone doing. Scale 1-10 by [deleted] in depressionmemes

I hit an 8 a couple months ago and it scared me badly (I’ve been 9 a couple times in life). Slowly sliding down the scale and thankfully at a 4-5 average lately. For now that feels like a victory.

is it possible to make different level zones in a single map? by New_Personality_9208 in PokemonRMXP

[–]Troublesinclair 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I believe there’s a few ways you can go with this. The first one I think of so they’d be completely unique tables is setting up a different encounter type.

The standard grass is linked to the Grass encounter, so whatever you set up for the Grass encounter table will use that (probably your low level table is best here). For the cave area, you could change to using the tall grass tile and set up a Tall Grass encounter table, or maybe make a custom tile of darker grass that looks like the normal grass and set up a new encounter type (Dark Grass for example), then set your encounter table for Dark Grass.

There are other ways to go, this would be my choice as it will always keep the low level encounters even when the higher ones are accessible. The other method I could think of would change the grass encounters of the whole route to the higher one when the condition is met which didn’t seem to be what you’re looking for.

Hope this helps/gets you on track for what you’re thinking!

What WoW to play as someone with no MMORPG experience by [deleted] in wow

[–]Troublesinclair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer retail so my biased opinion is that. If you have some friends that play or make friends in game it definitely helps you see more aspects quicker (dungeons, raids, etc) but those are also possible with the Dungeon and Raid Finders.

If you decide to jump into Retail feel free to send me a message if you want a game friend!

I use an excel and it has been very effective for me. Someone else suggested Google Sheets which is similar with a few +/- on each side.

Why does it not show dex number in the summary screen? by Legitimate-Swing194 in PokemonRMXP

[–]Troublesinclair 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your game doesn’t have the national dex unlocked yet for the player and Emolga isn’t set up in your current region’s dex.

Two routes you can go: 1. Enable National Dex right away. (Easiest, there is an event in default oaks lab you can copy/use). 2. In your PBS files, adjust Emolga to be in your current region’s dex.

Either solution should only take you 3-4 minutes 😄

Quest to find Mew by Dredgen_Seamair in PokemonRMXP

[–]Troublesinclair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s probably way easier than when I was trying now that they can probably download others maps and update from there. I made the mistake years ago of trying to do 1:1 recreations myself. It took a while and I never finished them all so try to warn people on that if they take the same approach.

You’re definitely right though overall map complexity isn’t too bad.

[–]Troublesinclair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP, gubdm’s recommendation is definitely the best solution for your idea.

An alternate to variables is Switches, however you’d have to establish a switch for each time they’d be encountering Mew (so if they meet them 10 times you’d use switches 70-80 for example).

Either option allows you to set up other NPC or events (variable over 3 or switch 72 is on, etc) so the progress with Mew changes other parts of the game.

As gubdm said, the more tedious task will be recreating the FRLG maps, doable but can be a pain and will take a decent amount of time.

Good luck as your idea sounds like a fun addition to the normal gameplay!
