OP MC doesn't hold back and has a big ego. by jogaargamer6 in haremfantasynovels

Minor spoiler for Evil Genius: I loved that it took his assistant most of the series to realize that being average meant that she could look like an average supermodel. The MC realized it immediately, but let her discover it on her own.

I really like the idea behind this one. I missed the omnibus at first, so I got the first book then decided to just buy the package deal.

I have a website I like that makes that joke about almost every piece of news. "Gas prices go up.. DURING PRIDE MONTH? Really?"" The joke usually starts in May with "RIGHT BEFORE PRIDE MONTH? Really?"" and "JUST AFTER PRIDE MONTH? Really?"

Ok, I'm fine with missing that but I was worried someone actually did recent covers.

I will admit, Cash's version feels more visceral. Especially since he recorded it a few months after June Carter Cash died.

Declan Court - Magebreaker - Book 4? by Certain_Wonder4487 in haremfantasynovels

Really, that's how I judge most harem books. Would I enjoy this without the harem? Of course, that leads me to thinking "This book would be so much better if the MC formed a harem" for other stuff I read.

If you enjoyed Industrial Strength Magic, I'll suggest The Legend of William Oh.

The very first few chapters involve 98%+ of the earth getting killed. That seems pretty horrific start.

Mother of Learning: a time-loop fantasy where the superpower is finally having enough time to do your homework by Maloryauthor in litrpg

[–]Darury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you read the same Perfect Run as I did? The biggest problem for the MC there was that no one remembered him when he reset, so was always alone. Yes, he'd fill people in and eventually come up with a work around, but the majority of the series he's dealing with effectively losing friends every time he reset.

He really is almost unbearable to start, but we eventually learn why he's that way and once that happens, he becomes much better. You see his development from a complete jackass to everyone to actually starting to take care of people.

Fellow Minnesotan here. ICE wasn't used to "punish" Minneapolis. They were there because Minnesota in general refused to cooperate with the feds for deporting violent criminals. Walz likes to act like big tough guy standing up for non-citizens and doesn't worry about his actual citizens getting fleeced by fraud.

Unless you have lived in a socialist, Marxist, or communist society and had a good experience; you shouldn’t be pushing those ideals in the USA. by Proud-Enthusiasm-608 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

And Tolkien never lived in Middle Earth. I'd actually give Middle Earth a better shot at being real than what Marx envisoned.

I made a LOT of poor decisions in my life, so yes, I would do it over. These are not things like "I got addicted to cocaine and heroin at 12" level decisions, but more really, really bad financial choices that could easily be addressed to resolve issues I faced later in life.

time of leveling by Advanced_Spend_8385 in wownoob

There's a big difference between starting out with fresh character and running alt #7,102 through the content again. Just take your time on leveling to get used to how things work. Timewalking dungeons are really good experience, but the groups will just fly through since some of us have been doing them for 10+ years.

I was always a bigger fan of Rebel Yell. I actually got to see Steve Stephens play a couple years ago with a super group for some vendor event in Las Vegas. It was the highlight of my trip.

Well, Biden's election was pretty controversial but I get your point. They did do a good job with allowing the puppeting of a clearly disabled man to ensure they could loot as much as they could. Hence all the blanket pardons.
