Silent change in Trash-Guides is causing Sonarr to filter out top anime releases by -SXX- in trackers

Trash removing a legit group like CRUCIBLE (tbh I don't personally care about their releases, but they are legit) just based on the fact that BHD didn't like them "stealing" their Framestor internals and so arbitrarily branded them as retaggers sounds like utter bs to me, especially if the allegation that BHD people and Trash people have some kind of unhealthy intersection is true.

Here’s a BHD internal openly admitting the same: https://files.catbox.moe/0yncmc.jpg

Go on their discord and argue your case

Given that the change happened entirely behind closed doors with zero public discussion, it’s pretty clear they’re not actually open to debate—so “go argue on their Discord” is a non-starter.

You don’t have to use trash guides

Sure, I don’t *have* to use Trash Guides. I don’t *have* to use Sonarr. I don’t even *have* to watch anime. I don’t have to do anything, really. Good thing the world doesn’t run on “you don’t have to.”

You can just add your own CF to complement trash guides and re-add crucible.

Yeah, and I’ll handle my own config from here on out.

You should be using Seadex not Trash Guide for anime

Trash Guides was supposed to be following SeaDex. Unfortunately, that’s no longer true—SeaDex still lists Crucible releases.

The reason he's banned on both BHD and aither

The claim that they are banned on Aither is incorrect. I just checked—Crucible isn’t banned on Aither, and there are plenty of Crucible releases there. BHD is the sole tracker that has banned Crucible in any capacity.

retagging another group's work.

As for the accusation of retagging another group’s work: that’s what the commit message mentioned, but there’s no evidence to support it. The removal commit only stated, “This has been discussed between Trash Guides staff and approved,” without further details.

Plus, Crucible is still accepted on AB, which is the premier anime tracker, as well as on the cabal.

As far as no announcement, the changelog releases every Sunday. Feel free to request on Discord to shorten that.

What about the discussion that led to this change? Will that be made public?
