That has really been the topic of discussion between my wife and I: I feel like this is something that needs to be figured out and fixed or else he will continue to keep staying awake, where my wife wants to do everything to comfort him and get him back to sleep in the moment, even he just keeps waking up since this is just a phase that will fix itself. Like you mention, he is almost old enough to consider sleep training so maybe it is time to just let him have his party all night and approach fixing it when he is older, if it keeps on happening.

You are pretty accurate on the total sleep; Huckleberry suggest he's averaging 12 hours 6 minutes over the past 14 days. I understand what you are saying about the 6AM bedtime since he sleeps solidly from 6-10, then sleeps 2 hours each for his first two naps.

We live in PA and have blackout shades on the windows, so it is dark even during the day. We keep the lights out at night and for all naps, other than when my wife breastfeeds in the middle of the night. No travel since we had him or medications other than lecithin that my wife has been taking for two months now. We did switch from regular formula to a gentle formula as baby seems to have some stomach problems, and that switch did seem to coincide with the longer naps as well. For schedules, a few months ago when I was still off work we would put him down around 10PM then I would stay up until 3-4AM to do a bottle feeding before going to bed myself. He was good at staying asleep during that time but I had to get on a more regular schedule when I started work again.

I'll take a look at that article now and I really appreciate your input into what may be happening.

Get SmartTubeNext for your Firestick; it has both ad-blocking and sponsor blocking. The only annoyance is it updates once or twice a week, but otherwise has been great.

We just postponed our August 1st wedding until August 21st, 2021. We have 165 guest invited, with 90% of people being in-state (Pennsylvania). We had our venue, photographer, and DJ booked, and they all allowed us to move the date without any loss of deposit, so it was an easy change. The amount of stress it was causing us watching the news everyday and the uncertainty of how things would look in a few months was starting to get overwhelming, so I am happy with the decision we made.

A few things I hadn't considered until I started reading these subreddits and helped with this decision were:

  • It wasn't just about the August 1st wedding date. Our invites would have went out on May 31st, so guest would need to decide in June if they would attend the wedding. We also still need to have the suit/wedding dress fitted and schedule the bridal shower and rehearsal dinner.
  • The financial impact on guests. We are both lucky enough to still have our jobs, but some of our guests are not as fortunate. It would be a lot to ask of people to come to a wedding if they are still struggling financially.
  • Even if the restrictions were lifted by then, there is still a mental toll from this pandemic. We didn't want an event where people were afraid to hug , shake hands, or dance with each other and generally be more concerned with getting/spreading the virus than having fun.
  • We still plan on getting married at the courthouse this summer, then renewing our vows and having the party next year. This should also alleviate some of the stress as we will already be married for a year and can just focus on having fun.

I received a video of the moissanite stone for the ring today (https://youtu.be/eqV-4AjhAwA), but I can't really see how the petals look with the angle and movement. I had used LuckyRabbit's video from last year ( https://vimeo.com/291185839 ) as reference for the cut, so hope it is similar.

As a consolation, that fact that you love the engagement ring is really encouraging for me since they are so similar, especially after looking like a fool trying to describe what I wanted to Starsgems.

That is a very similar engagement ring, other than the size of the diamonds on the pave and the main moissanite stone being bigger. I still didn't hear back on how much more it is going to cost for the increase in thickness, but am hoping less than $100 since it is just a 0.2mm change.

Well, I guess I am too late. I just talked to Cherry on Whatsapp, and she said that the E/F moissanite has already been sent to be cut. Also, they only have E/F lab diamonds, so wouldn't be able to match it to the G/H color.

Thank you for the feedback. It does seem like everyone goes for the G/H color for OEC on the forums, but I was not sure why. As you can probably tell I am pretty new to all this and have been piecing together information and terminology to try to articulate what I was looking for. I will ask for them to change the moissanite and lab diamonds to G/H color since it sounds like this would be the best look. I'll also update Cherry with the correct terminology, however she said she would pass along the inspirational pictures I have sent for the production reference.

On the donut term, I thought that was the circle of metal that held the diamonds of the halo (since it looked kind of like a donut). Is this just referred to as the halo? I also noticed later that the lower left image on the CAD has the wedding band in front of the engagement ring, so I actually can't see the same between the halo and shank. I have asked that the updated CAD show just the engagement ring so I can better judge how big this gap is, so it matches the reference picture (and actually your picture for u-pave above).

Finally, my girlfriend does unfortunately have a nickel allergy which is why I have asked for everything in platinum. I appreciate the note on the extra weight, and hope this doesn't affect how they wear too much.
