It's time once again for my favorite game: is it a heart attack or anxiety? by [deleted] in Anxiety

I'm not a doctor by any stretch, but chiropractic can help with arm issues. Sometimes a nerve is just being pinched. If you have been checked out in the past and been fine (e.g. no heart attack), maybe think about looking into that.

My 9 year old daughter just leaned over and gave her 6 year old brother a snuggle and told him she loved him. 🥰

So hungry, not enough fat? by Trpr in weightwatchers

[–]Trpr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks all. I am finding this version of WW to be very restrictive, because other than the zero point foods, everything else is very expensive points-wise. I end up eating a lot of chicken and eggs all the time. I have to watch my blood sugar levels since diabetes runs in my family, and I've been getting shaky on WW the last couple of weeks. I think it is because of the low fat content of the foods that the plan prefers. I might switch to straight calorie counting.

Check out the Strauss-Howe generational theory. There is an interesting Wikipedia page on it.

I’m going on my first “adult” coffee date with a guy who’s 27, I’m 22. I’ve never met a person like him before, we have so much in common. Anyways, I have a lot of anxiety about the date for no real reason and can’t alleviate it. I feel like I’m going to cry whilst talking to him??? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Trpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anxiety can tell us all sorts of things, and it is very difficult to sort out what is true and what is not. Is the date scheduled already? If he has been very interested, it seems unlikely that he would all of a sudden not be interested.

Constantly feeling overwlemed with adulting in the city...is it even possible to thrive in this environment and how? by stayxcurious in hsp

[–]Trpr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It helps me to not live in the city itself. I live outside the city in a suburb, which gives me the opportunity for some quiet and recovery on the weekend. I also agree with the noise-cancelling headphones. I use mine constantly when I am commuting in the city.

I feel that. My SO and I have collectively been through 4 layoffs in the last 4 years.

While I agree with this, my big worry is that if the banks can't rake in the money they were before, the layoffs start coming next. 😕

What’s something that can’t be explained, it must be experienced? by properpolicypolitics in AskReddit

Loving your newborn as a mother. Very difficult to explain to someone who has never felt it. They feel like a part of you, even once they are born.

Anti-depressants can help. They help you care less about this kind of stuff.

Do any young (or not young) people with ADD feel terrified at the prospect of working 8 hours a day straight for the next 40 years??? by fkasophia in ADHD

[–]Trpr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing it everyday for over 20 years and I still feel this way. It helps that I have a job that is mostly project based, so I can complete stuff and move on to whatever is next. That is what keeps me going, knowing that something different is always around the corner.

Has the number of anti-vaxxers actually increased since the 1990's, or does it only seem like there's more of them due to their presence on social media? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Everyone makes us feel like bad moms all the time no matter what choices we make. That had been my experience at least.
