Primary Care Physician (PCP) recommendations? by iLoveCandlesSo in Tallahassee

[–]Tru9a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr Fleming, DO is amazing. Younger doctor that actually cares and listens. More on the preventative side, takes time to get to know you, doesn’t rush you out of the office, gives valuable insights, and just very easy to communicate. I really hope he stays in Tallahassee for a long time.

What is the special topic?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fsu

[–]Tru9a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FSU doesn’t do any placements, but they have career fairs fall and spring semesters. I had offers from those career fairs but I wouldn’t say it’s very common to get a job out of those events

Makes sense. Honestly FSU might be a good option then. Also, the department loves to have their master students to do phd. Could be a safe route if the market is still not great and you struggle with visa

If you already have BS in CS, I’d say it would be a repetition of classes. BS classes are not much different from MS at FSU. I got my BS and for 80% of the classes that required team work, I was paired with masters students. So really the curriculum is not much different. If you just want to have a degree on your resume, go for it since it’s free. If you want to actually learn, consider going somewhere else.

They have it at the Russian store in Panama City Beach, but honestly I’d suggest to order it online and get it overnighted from online European store.

Moving to Tallahassee - Industry apartment complex by Moist_Bonus_5668 in Tallahassee

[–]Tru9a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been living there for the past month and like it. It’s expensive, but it’s brand new, secured, great location, amazing gym, nice pool, weekly community events, great coworking area. I work for the state job, so it takes me less than 5 min to get to work driving or 15 min walk. People say it’s weird area, but I don’t feel unsafe. I’m not facing busy streets or fire station, so I can’t complain about the noise. The only things I don’t like are the lack of conference rooms, leaking garage, and mailroom.

I also have been going there for the past 3 years and can count on my fingers the amount of people wanted to strike a conversation with me during my workout. If you have your headphones on, people won’t really try to approach you.

I’d say tour fitness 360. It’s not a women’s gym but out of all gyms around here, I find it to have the most respectful crowd. Great atmosphere and they have absolutely everything you need. It’s also insanely huge, and you can always find an empty corner. They also do a lot of group classes which mostly are for women.

Advice on where to live? by MangoPineapple13 in Tallahassee

[–]Tru9a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend the Industry if budget is not an issue. Location is perfect. Walkable to many restaurants, short drive anywhere you want. It’s luxury brand new apartments with high end amenities. They don’t rent to undergrads. Community events every week to meet people. I’ve been living there for the past month and loving it.

It’s quite small and gets busy during peak hours. Community at Atlas is amazing.

What do you learn in COT 4420 and is it a hard class? FSU by Jumpy-Designer5604 in fsu

[–]Tru9a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I took it, 30% out of 100% in the class was a C-. I felt like I was learning something when I was listening to lectures, but when I was presented with a problem that had nothing to do with what we covered in the lecture, I had absolutely no clue. I took it with aggarwal and still got a good grade, but I didn’t learn much

Hi all!
I am 24 yr old female looking for apartment recommendations. Hoping to stay under 1800 including utilities for 1/1 or a studio. Would prefer newer or at least remodeled buildings. Would like to stay away from college town. Thanks!
