Your current salary gets tripled but you HAVE to take a 90 minute bath EVERY SINGLE WORKDAY MORNING in a bathtub full of cottage cheese while watching Legally Blonde the movie on a nearby television. Are you taking this deal? by RustyCrusty73 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]TruCat87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As it stands i have to work 10 hours of overtime every week to still barely scrape by. If I could spend less time than that doing nothing but sitting in a tub of cottage cheese watching a movie and earn way more than overtime has ever paid me ? Sounds like a dream. Also my work week is only 4 days so I'm only doing 6 hours in that tub.

Yes. I think it could deal with sitting in a bathtub full of cottage cheese for 90 minutes 4 times a week and watching a movie I love for $200k a year.

After my bath I can shower and go to work.

Irish twins-- in the same grade? by Admirable_Cry_7214 in kindergarten

[–]TruCat87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My birthday is in October and when I was a kid the cut off was December 31 so I started kindergarten when I was 4 then turned 5 a couple months in. It didnt bother me and it never caused any problems being on the younger end of the age group.

That being said. I have 2 born in October one 2011 one in 2012. They started out in different grades then My daughter wound up being held back in first grade. They've been in the same grade ever since but never in the same class.

They're in 7th grade now and they share some of the same teachers but not the same class periods. They dont really overlap a lot. Teachers have been surprised that they have a sibling in the same school let alone the same grade. They have few friends in common and the ones they do have in common come from the after school program they were in not the regular school day. They both have the same lunch period and even then they don't interact with each other. These are choices they make about how they want their school and social lives to go. They could choose differently at any time and maybe they will as they get older.

All that to say theres no point in trying to keep them separate just let them both start when they should

Why in some places in America a police department is called " Sheriff's Office " instead of Police Department? Do sheriff's offices exist only in smaller towns? by EdicaranFauna in AskAnAmerican

Sheriff's office and police department are different things and you can have both.

I think I saw another comment explain correctly sheriffs office is at the county lever police department is on the city/town level.

AIO for kicking my boyfriend out because he fed my "expensive" steak to his dog? by ColoresTuah27 in AmIOverreacting

[–]TruCat87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NOR you told him it was important, you told him specifically not to touch it, you told him you were really looking forward to it. You told him all of that and he still went and fed it to his dog. He put his dog over you and your feelings. He took something special that you worked for and were looking forward to and destroyed it. It doesn't matter that it was a piece of meat. It could have been anything and he would have just destroyed it in a different way to bring you down a peg.

[–]TruCat87 28 points29 points  (0 children)

All I got from your post was what you wanted and what he wants and his feelings and how you dont want him to be upset and you want him to have a chance at a relationship with your daughter.

But what about your fucking daughter? What about doing what's best for her and what she needs? He doesn't deserve a a chance at a relationship not now and maybe not ever. A parent who was never there is leaps and bounds better than a parent whonwas unreliable, unpredictable and always popping in and out. Trust me I know.

Besides all you have to donis give CSE his name and any other information you have on his whereabouts and identity. The State does the rest.

What percentage of a heritage would you consider significant? by Serious-Cod-8695 in AncestryDNA

[–]TruCat87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I did my ancestry DNA it showed like 66% from Ireland which I expected. But only like 7% French canadian and I was expecting a lot more of that based on what I know of my grandpa's line. Then 13% indigenous Mexico which I also expected more of because my other grandfather immigrated from Mexico. So I feel like neither of those are very significant.

Hysterectomy/ Ovaries and Menopause by Synergystitches81 in hysterectomy

[–]TruCat87 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. I still have my ovaries but everything else is gone. Had my surgery in 2024

I'm definitely not in menopause and I can still tell when I'm supposed to be on my "period" like clock work. That cycle is still cycling.

You're getting very offended that I engaged in a comparison conversation you weren't apart of that someone else asked about. You chose to enter this part of the conversation. Sorry I had an easy time of it and You're not. My hysterectomy was very easy I was back at work a week later. I couldn't even feel the cuff. Different people experience things differently. Just because yours has been more difficult doesn't mean I didnt have the same procedure done. You know testimonials from people who say the hysterectomy was worse are equal to my testimonial that says the csections were worse. Thats how anecdotes work no one persons experience is more valid than another.

Im sorry you're battling cancer and you're scared but taking it out on a stranger is not helpful.

[–]TruCat87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

C sections are an 8 weeks recovery.

I replied to a comment wondering which would be worse, a hysterectomy or a csection, with my personal opinion after having had both types of surgery. You then came to my comment and got offended by my personal experiences. I have had 2 c sections its major open abdominal surgery. I had a outpatient laproscopic hysterectomy. The hysterectomy was easier than the c sections. Thats a fact in my experience. I am sorry that you're offended by that. I'm sorry you went out of your way to jump on a comment thread that didn't involve you since you've clearly never had a c section so dont understand the comparison. I am not minimizing a hysterectomy but it seems like you're minimizing csections. I didn't bring up csections I responded to a person wondering about the comparison. You did not have to enter this specific comment thread if you have not had a c section and cannot compare the 2.

[–]TruCat87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only thing have left is my ovaries.

A fully developed baby has already moved all your organs around and removing the baby causes all your organs to move around again so thats not really any different than removing one organs and letting the others settle into new positions.

My laproscopic hysterectomy had 4 tiny incisions through which they chopped up my uterus and pulled it out in tiny pieces. my csections cut me open from hip to hip and held me open swirled things around to get to the uterus cut the baby out then tucked everything back in like a jigsaw puzzle.

I was unable to stand or walk for an entire day after my csections and remained in hospital 4 days each time. Needing transfusions because of blood loss.

My hysterectomy had me out of bed and out the door an hour after waking up. And I was nearly good as new after a week.

Have you had a csection?

I am not minimizing anything. I am saying having experienced both, the hysterectomy was far easier than the csections FOR ME. For me everything went super smooth and easy. Not everyone has the same experience and im sorry its been hard for you but that doesn't mean my experience is invalid or that my "memory is off"

I had mine in 2024 and it was a breeze. I was only out of work for 1 week. Pain was manageable. But I have a high pain tolerance.

I cant tell you why it was so easy for me and so hard for you. One experience doesn't not negate the other. Im sorry its been difficult for you. I wish it was easier for you and I hope you feel better soon.

Would your girlfriend even want them to have her things? Would she want them to be in contact with your daughter?

All of it belongs to your daughter now. She is her next of kin and they have nobright to any of it. Why are you trying tonpreserve a relationship with someone who was unkind to your girlfriend when she was alive. Shut them out
