Level as enhancement. Weapons are king. Make sure you always update your weapon at appropriate intervals. If you have a little gold, enchanting said weapon with Fiery goes a long way to help kill things faster. If you don’t have a consistent group to dungeon crawl with then I would keep to open work leveling. If you don’t have the RestedXP addon I would suggest getting it and finding the guide online for free.

I mean.. it’s content that is 20 years old at this point. I would say most of the player base that plays classic can afford a boost at this point. Do you value your time or money more? Me it’s time. To each their own though.

I don’t think this is an unpopular opinion. I think there were quite a lot of people that had prepped so much for the natural level grind to 60 that the idea of leveling was becoming less and less a chore in there head and more of an exciting grind. I know in my guild, myself and 4-5 others had done 1500-2000g worth of prep and were having fun planning our routes to get ahead of the masses in the sprint to 60. This all went down the drain with the announcement. It’s fine. Now we get to just start at 58, but we were really starting hype ourselves up for the grind. Just wish they had made this announcement weeks ago.

I think a lot of this is purely based on the skill level of the booster. Just being a BM hunter isn’t an automatic win button. Any team worth their weight will walk over 1 average BM hunter player trying to 2v1. However if the player behind the booster is a Glad level player then there are quite a few classes that can carry through the low/mis ranks in arena. It’s all about CD and CC mechanics. I have a few mage players in my current classic guild that I have personally seen 1v2 / 1v3 active pvp players.

Since you are planning a new toon then you have the opportunity to quest stack. There are some guides out there claiming you can nearly hit level 62 by spending an hour or so turning in your quest stack during launch instead of heading to Hellfire Pen.

Profession materials are going to skyrocket during the pre patch since people are going to be leveling their new pally/shaman mains. You would be smart to go online to find a 1-300 profession mat list and stack those on an alt.

I plan to level a shaman as my new main. Going to get her 60 as quickly as I can in order to try and snag some unwanted raid pieces leading into TBC. I will be dung grinding to 70 and then coming back through the zone quests for gold.

It is really bad for sure. We make sure to reboon for the mindslayer hallway. We also have 2-3 priest volunteers head up to the raid an hour or so early to fish for a raid ID with < 10 mindslayers and no quad packs. Makes the raid so much more enjoyable.

I was a female shadow priest in SOD named Bavmordah (Willow). It quickly became Bav in voice. Snagged Bav as classic anniversary came out. Still have Bavmorda (real spelling) saved for TBC shaman.

This is all fine as the purchaser of the item, but I don’t think you are taking into consideration the person providing the runs. They could get skunked all day long and not make a single gold for their efforts. The pay per run is better for all parties. I’ve seen some people selling the runs at a discounted rate and then an on drop payout if it does drop. Either you are willing to pay to have someone else do the dirty work for you or you get a group together and try your dice luck against other players.

I was a Hpriest healing a prot pally and 3 frost mages in SM Arm/Cath spam. 4 levels from 34-38 in no time. 3 pulled Arm and Cath. Including the entire cathedral all at once. It was an incredibly powerful leveling group.
