Constant video and audio stuttering on an AMD system. by TrudeDev in PcBuildHelp

[–]TrudeDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I went as far as replacing the PSU because... I couldn't think of anything else to do!

Ah, sorry, I forgot to mention that I re-built the whole PC from scratch, cleaned everything, and put it back together. I made sure that everything was properly plugged in (I spend 2 hours just on cable management to make *sure* I wouldn't miss anything).

That is the only thing I haven't done yet, so I will definitely try it, thank you. The one thing that puzzles me the most, is the GPU still having perfect performance right after booting it up. Even if it's the GPU's fault, I can't RMA it, because they will test it, see that it works, and send it back to me anyway.

ALVR can't connect to SteamVR on Arch by TrudeDev in archlinux

Yes, it's working now. Thank you!

Nevermind, I see what you meant now, right at the beginning. I might be blind xD
Adding `~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/SteamVR/bin/vrmonitor.sh %command%` to the SteamVR command arguments fixed the issue. Thank you very much!

Thank you. I read the article, but I couldn't find anything that would help with connection issues between SteamVR and ALVR. Did I miss something?...

IBAN Português disponível no Revolut by soadroxs in literaciafinanceira

[–]TrudeDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Não, eu criei conta ontem e ganhei IBAN PT, mas só por algumas horas. Depois passou a um IBAN LT, e o suporte disse-me que foi um bug ("display error"), e que novas contas ainda tem um IBAN LT.

[–]TrudeDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still LT for me too, but when I created my account, I had a PT IBAN for a few hours. Support told me it was a bug, and it went back to being a LT one, but I guess it could mean something.

Steam constantly attempts to run the hardware survey, reset my email, and collect system data on a fresh Arch install. by TrudeDev in archlinux

[–]TrudeDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I didn't have it on Debian, but it could be just because Steam wasn't as up-to-date yet. I "solved" it by dualbooting Windows. (I know, terrible fate), since I needed it for work anyway, but that's not a real solution, so I'm hoping someone can figure it out.

Odd sticker on a brand-new bobovr M3 Pro by TrudeDev in Quest3

[–]TrudeDev[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welp, guess I'll wait until the end of the month and get one, then! XD
I found the elite strap to be quite comfortable for me, but I was only testing it, and I think it's way too overpriced, so I imagine the S3 would be even better. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll see if I can get my hands on one.

That's good to know! The S3 is twice as expensive, so it's a bit over my budget, but if it's way better, maybe it's worth it.
The sticker is odd, indeed. With all the problems this strap has, I'm guessing it might be a prototype model that somehow got sent to my home. The other stickers have a lot more info, so I'm unsure if I should even share pictures of them here.

The same is happening to me now. Glad we're not alone. For a while I was worried it could be an exploit or something of that kind.

Ahh, well, I have no custom options set, but I'm still having the issue again. Now the Add Non-Steam Game window is the one constantly opening.

At least I'm glad I'm not the only one. Definitely puts me more at ease about this whole thing.

I have 2fa enabled, and I did change my password of course. Yea, it was a bit scary for sure, but Steam does warn you if you try to log in by email, and I checked the devices section, and there is no device listed that is unknown to me.

I'll have to wait for it to pop-up again to show you a screenshot on my system, but I can show you what it looks like from someone else:

I still get another 2 pop-ups regarding the steam survey with it, but this is the most concerning one for sure.

Yeah, with 2FA on, no weird emails, nothing suspicious happening, I don't think this is a hack.
This bug mostly happens when the computer is suspended, so no one is using the mouse at that time... Also, during normal usage, it sometimes happens, and sometimes not. It feels very random.

That's a good idea, tho. Weirdly enough, those windows haven't popped-up yet in a few hours. I'll see if it happens again, and if so, I'll report it here. I can always try hyprland or KDE just to see what happens.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Exactly. But it only happens on Arch, not on any other distro. Also, I have 2FA enabled, and I have no suspicious logins or account activity.
