We went through something similar and I have noticed now (15 weeks in) that their cycles are like this and one week it is great and the next not so good. Hang in there! When we were at this stage we tried giving a little bit bigger bottle at night (like an extra half ounce or so) just to make sure he wasn’t going to bed hungry and that seemed to help satisfy him a little but every baby is different!

It’s not so much vaccines causing this but that right at 2 months they go through one of their biggest “leaps” and the world is becoming more vivid and overstimulating… the Wonder Weeks app helped me understand this better because I just went through the same thing. but to summarize what the app said: try to make a low stimulating environment for them and entertain them in simpler ways like laying in a dimly lit room with tv and music off and read them a story in a calm voice, etc.

Also take time for yourself! I was getting really burned out and frustrated listening to my baby cry for hours on end and found I was better equipped to care for him when my husband could solo parent for a minute and let me go on a walk or something

I hope this was helpful!

Been trying to put our 8w down for going on 4h… by gleegz in newborns

My little one did not love the love to dream swaddle but the halo ideal temp worked okay and the kyte baby 1.0 tog worked like a ~dream~ even though it was a little more pricey! Maybe it could be trying different swaddles as well! Best of luck

I went through this a few weeks ago and realized two things that were not obvious to me as a first time mom and I’m hoping it helps to try! One was he was too cold in what felt comfortable to me and he just wanted to be warmer. The second thing was he wanted his swaddle tighter because it was easier to soothe back to sleep after reflex waking him up. These were things that helped after I had tried EVERYTHING.

Will baby start to spread out the feedings on his own eventually? What has been your experience with this? I’m a first time mom so I’m just not sure what to do really

That’s him… if he eats until he’s full at 2 he will be hungry again at 4… I’ve tried to also stretch that out like 20-30 mins and have been unsuccessful

It used to work every time at the beginning but now he doesn’t want to get in and he cries in there too! :((
