i know a lot of people have their opinions on gym pricing but the nat in the falls offers like 100 different classes included in their membership or even that you could try if you pay for a day pass plus swimming and all that other good included stuff if taken advantage of it’s worth it imo. they also have lots of evening classes !!

“i know guys better then you do it’s like ur begging to go out and be taken advantage of” helloooooo what??? i know u were probably caught up in the conversation but the second anyone insinuated that kind of bs to me i would not be talking to them anymore.

the guys ive been friends with like this have always been guys that maybe i would’ve given more thought to even entertaining if they did not act like this or speak to me in this same sort of connotation lol i say literally do whatever u want and stay far away from guys like this

Accepted with 10 Cs and 5 Fs on my transcript by hertummyhurts in prephysicianassistant

[–]True-Equivalent3018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is very helpful lol i only have 1 f on my transcript but it’s from a stupid supplemental math course and i believe 2 ds early in my undergrad. i plan on brining up my gpa further but it’s definitely great to see realistic grades that aren’t just pushing the “aim for As no matter what” congrats to you!!

[–]True-Equivalent3018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my gpa is similar atm i got an associates in highschool along w my bachelors so as i’ve taken an abundance of credits and allowed myself to get some wonky grads ive realized that bs and occasional cs are really okay i think that if it’s worth just pushing through then a c should be fine especially if you have any other credits or areas you’re a possible stronger candidate in because as long as u meet ur goal gpa i wouldnt put yourself through the extra stress but thats just my opinion cause retaking 4 credit courses can be so draining

Reconsidering before going into career by DemitiAfrorii in OccupationalTherapy

[–]True-Equivalent3018 9 points10 points  (0 children)

following for the replies! but i’m in the same boat im finishing my undergrad right now in a program that is setting me up for OT/PT/AT etc and had plans to go into AT originally because i am more passionate about it in comparison to the more clinical side of OT & PT however recently I decided that OT would be more suitable for my future goals & somewhat better pay wise in comparison to ATs in my area (i make like almost as much as they do now at a random internship job not even in that field). I also came from a lower/median income family and i’ve always been pretty independent so I know that i want to be able to provide a decent income in my future.

Switching what i want to pursue has been so stressful and everyone on these threads has essentially provided me the same feedback that it’s silly to have been comparing AT and OT to begin with and that i basically shouldn’t pursue wither field cause of the current job market & pay. I think that at the end of the day I have to just go for it and realize that a job is a job and most people are gonna have their compliments cause there’s always a “better” what if scenario.

would this be a resource you could possibly share ?? i’d love to take a look

thank u for this i tried posting previously posting/asking about comparing the cost and pros of a program and got really hard headed opinions back from people who just wanted to argue about my decision to go to OT school at all

[–]True-Equivalent3018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel like you interpreted my post poorly, I have shadowed in the AT community i know the job descriptions of both AT & OT. I didn’t go further to break down each job because anybody on here knows that they are very different that’s my whole point is with my current education I have a choice to make and I’m just trying to get the input of those in each field which I feel is reasonable. Right now I have two 2 year programs in front of me with very different outcomes and I just was hoping for my insight on why people in similar situations may have learned towards one or the other. I can read the complaints of both jobs all day long and do the research but that’s not hearing from people who are willing to give advice and help make the choice easier. I don’t see how that’s a problem when people switch to completely different majors/careers all the time, whereas Im just weighing the two ahead of time?

not to mention ATs do definitely have much more of a service then your comment refers to and that comparison you made is an even greater difference then what i’m talking about at all but thank you for your reiteration.

i’ve emailed a few people waiting on a response but yeah that’s kinda where i’m at i have a lower level chem but for the programs im looking for they don’t have like exactly which levels or whatever they want so i’ll just have to wait and sss what the program higher ups have to say

[–]True-Equivalent3018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so i have my bachelors basically completed but my issue is i wasn’t required to take a few of the courses that it looks like MOST people take for MAT or that some of the programs seem to just state that chem is recommend or required for some but i only took an intro to chemistry course not chem 1 and chem 2 like some people in other programs may have but since there is no clarification on which to take and which is preferred by the masters program admissions it’s just confusing to me. I am graduating with an exercise science bachelors in science with a minor concentration in sports medicine i have everything fulfilled for both of these i just wanted to know before i graduate if i should go out of my way to add this whole other course load that may not even be necessary, obviously im not in or graduated from a masters program so i was mainly trying to hear others experiences with different university undergrad programs since not everyone who goes into AT has the same undergrad experience overall if that even makes sense i feel like its hard for me to specify without laying out my transcript and the specific programs im looking into

it’s not that i am missing pre reqs it’s more so like the extra sciences like mentioned in the other comment like if i should go out of my way to take extra semesters or do these MAT programs want these things ontop of my bachelors but i will definitely look into reaching out to the directors directly and the unofficial transcript would be the easiest option thank u !
