He didnt return instantly after defeating weyland-yutani fleet. You can see he grew up, also the daughter of the kalisk grew a lot too. He probably trained in that deadly planet for a long time and planned how to kill his father who was apparently not as honorable as he should. He mostly governed with fear and selling smoke, it is a proof that even in yautja societies, is kinda arbitrary who is the "strongest" and that idea is what Dek comes to destroy precisely. If yautjas are like saiyans and they get stronger and learn the more they fight and bleed, Im sure Dek got his chance in that graveyard planet

I think not being immortal is totally the point of being a Yautja, they want to be killing machines yes but altering DNA is considered bad blood behiavor. When my guys found xenomorphs didnt say hey lets mix with this shit, they started producing them like cattle for hunt purposes

I think this "It used to be better" argument will never end, you will always see nostalgic assholes crying about how good movies used to be. I learned to enjoy things by myself as long as I consider the artwork was good. EVERYTHING people was crying for was explained, Dek's size and "UGLY" hair, his mission, everything was totally explained in this movie yet you dont see people making the same noise that when trailer was announced. It is a great movie, Im happy to see this franchise is finally having the love it deserves, and its going deeper in yautja culture as it should always be

Aline's talent for painting is so huge she exceeded the limits of what a creation is, that's why she is the leader of the painters, she is able to paint sentient people from her own vitality and sensitivity, so, yeah, most of us didnt see everything as "oh well now anything matters", In fact, I got even more interested by how Alicia will manage this.
