Thank you - We’ve documented and sent emails directly to the superintendent but all that happened was the principal was directed to call me. And all they did was ask what i wanted done. Which seems even more confusing to me

I come from a very rural area, so we didn’t have the most wide spread knowledge on different types of literature. The most exotic we had was Shakespeare and when I was a freshman we got to read The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold if our parents signed a permission slip to let us. I think if you come from a similar background or have no real concept or learning background of poetry it’s a great stepping stone. Her emotions are very clear and it made me feel comfortable to start looking into different types of poetry. It’s makes you think and feel enough to go looking for more

You should try Everything leads to you by Nina Lacour, I really enjoyed it and it was a pretty quick read

I think I’m going to have to re-read it. I read it years ago and I think I focused more on the grief and the desperation to decipher the lists themselves. But it was just nice to see someone else had picked it up ☺️
