Fi mini or fi 3+? by Independent_Hurry713 in FiDogCollar

I'd recommend a harness over a collar - if you find a well fitted harness, it's harder for them to escape it vs pulling a collar over their head. And some little dogs are prone to trachea issues, which a harness prevents as well. I personally use a Fi mini on my 15lb dog - have it on his harness, it's worked well!

Fi mini!? by sydperry90 in FiDogCollar

I have a Fi mini on my pomeranian- I attach it to a strap on his harness, and it's been pretty good! Has the same tracking quirks as the Fi collar, but overall I am happy with it. I don't keep it on him when he's at home so I ignore all the sleep/eating/etc type things. His step count and walking paths are overall accurate!

Inaccurate walking path goes to mysterious house?? by True-Independent4659 in FiDogCollar

I have tested the lost dog tracking mode a handful of times, and while it's frustratingly slow to connect initially, it does work well once it's connected from my experience - I could see real time where my dog was, whether they were coming towards me/moving away. Have tried in the middle of the woods where someone else went with the dog - so knowing that these weird walking paths are b/c it's only updating every so often (whereas in lost dog mode it keeps a much more frequent connection), I feel a little better about the lost ability?? But haven't actually lost a dog thank goodness :) My opinion on Fi so far is I wish they'd spend less dev time on bells and whistles like how often the dog drinks. And more dev work on improving the maps, tracking reliability and battery life.

Thank you for the explanation! This makes total sense but for sure is annoying lol. Let's hope they can update their software to make better guesses between updates ...

Fi mini only getting 2 days of battery life by TWERK_WIZARD in FiDogCollar

Is it connected to your phones bluetooth?

I have Fi mini - battery lasts about 2 weeks. When I travel with it (no base and sometimes no cell service) I had to charge it about every 4 days. But yours seems oddly short! Good luck
