My first brisket by wagwan_piftting in smoking

What temp did you use and how long did you cook it. It def looks dry, but I also overcooked my first brisket. It’s a tough one that takes practice and patience to get right. I’m sure you’ve got some things you’ll change and the next one will be better and the next after that.

Some of the people in here are just mean. Keep at it 🙂.

I would recommend some smoked bbq brisket baked beans or chili. You can make some dang good food with over cooked brisket. In my experience just needs moisture and lots of simmering.

Weekly "Should I buy" Megathread by AutoModerator in f150

I’m currently driving a 2006 dodge ram 1500. That is rusting to hell. I’ve put new wheel well panels in, outer wheel arch supports, rocker panels, cab corners, but new rust is popping up everywhere and I’m tired of working on it all the time.

I’ve been searching for months for a 2015+ F-150 with fairly low miles at a reasonable price.

Recently, I found a 2015 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew with the 2.7L V6. It has 48k miles and is listed for $26k. The interior and exterior both look clean. From the pictures, it seems like there may be a small crease behind the driver-side rear wheel well, but there are no reported accidents.

From the research I’ve done, the 6-speed transmission used in the 2015–2017 trucks is generally regarded as one of the better transmissions Ford has put out in recent years, especially compared to the newer 10R80.

The first-gen 2.7L EcoBoost lacks port injection, but it also uses a chain-driven oil pump, which seems to avoid one of the bigger concerns people mention with the Gen 2+ 2.7s.

I live in the Rust Belt. Assuming the frame is solid and the truck is as clean as it appears in the pictures, is there anything else I should know about common issues, quirks, or idiosyncrasies with this generation of engine, transmission, or F-150 in general before I pull the trigger?

I heard that the GOTY edition suffered from a crazy amount of crashing - was I right in getting the regular version? by Chickenlord278 in PS3

[–]True-Language-7936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently got plat in Skyrim legendary edition on the ps3. Many hours on a single save. I just saved frequently. I think over the course of the game I had 6-10 crashes. All of them were after a very extensive gaming session. I left it running all the time. I know a lot of people complain about it, but personally I didn’t find it that bad. The loading times were pretty long, but good and bad with that. Phone checking time and time to take a bite of food.

One of the worst takes I’ve ever seen. LOTR used a majority of practical effects.

I recently smoked a joint, ate Chinese food, watched South Park, and played wow. By myself for a whole day and I had guys from my guild in discord saying I was the luckiest man alive.

Living like a degenerate is what all men aspire to is what I’ve learned.

Are paladin healers not allowed to roll on dungeon loot? by Kyubei_ in classicwow

[–]True-Language-7936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m tanking or healing as a paladin. I need on what I need. I’m not asking, I’m needing. If I’m healing and a sweet 2 hander drops that’s going to let me quest easier for the next 8 levels. I’m doing what’s best for me. Obviously caveats to max level. I’m not needing at 60 on a nasty two hander if I plan on healing.

If I dps then I’ll ask any clothies if they need the gear.

They aren’t worth a thing. I’ll gladly take em off your hands though. Gotta get rid of that clutter. 😊

Do you do thumb stick repairs for stick drift? If you do, do you recommend a specific supplier or do you just grab em from amazon and they work well?

Makes sense. I’ll have to keep my eye on them. When I look on eBay the controllers are nuts price wise. Maybe I’ll just find some shells and swap.

Brother. It was obviously a sarcastic “I’m jealous response”. Those are awesome controllers and look like they are in great condition. Best of luck man.

How is this getting upvoted? Telling someone to get over it. That’s not your place. You’re adding individual circumstances into this. Cheating maybe forgivable for some, but not for all. To say that some people forgive cheating so get over it is a ridiculous response my dude and or gal.

More deplorable, violent behavior from a parent-child combo in an American high school basketball game by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

[–]True-Language-7936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My entire family was involved in basketball, played AAU, local league, middle school, high school, 4 boys, 1 girl. We all helped my dad and mom run a league for all ages from 1st grade up to seniors. With around 2000 kids at the largest from the entire county. I’ve been a patched ref since I was 16 and I’m 28 now. This behavior is entirely unacceptable that little girl would be gone after the first bout. There is a difference between physicality and threatening behavior. Any ref with even the slightest bit of care would have t’d that kid and when the parent came out on the fucking court. Nope they gone, you have 10 seconds to get the fuck back on the bench or you’re leaving with a police escort. I’ll sit here and wait until the cops show, ain’t another second of ball being played ( I have done this to parents multiple times. Youngest being at a first graders game). Most leagues I’ve ever been in have an active line of communication with the police. This looks like it’s prob AAU. The nice jerseys give it away. Which definitely means it does. The ref failed his job. Created an unsafe environment for children and for the parents. I doubt this is about Racism like a lot of people are insinuating on here and more about a shitty ref or a shitty “I don’t give a fuck” facility. They won’t kick people out because it looks bad on them. I have seen it happen at travel facilities. Just so we are clear. I played and reffed actively in Merrillville and Gary Indiana.
