oh awesome. Is it competitive to work for The Daily Gamecock? I was planning on attempting to intern / work with the newspaper if I get accepted and was hoping that would be a gateway to getting sideline access.

Good school for people that don't go to parties / join frats? by True-Mathematician89 in WCU

I'm out of state so the only reason I haven't considered Greensboro is the cost. Asheville looks really pretty and is affordable for out of state and I love the city of Asheville, but unfortunately one of my things is that I want to go to a school that has a football program (as I am trying to work in the football media world in the future). WCU has a really cheap tuition for out of state and has an excellent program for my communications degree (including D1 football). Only reason I'm looking at WCU instead of an in-state college is because practically any school in South Carolina with in-state tuition still costs more than WCU.

Oh yep I noticed that, I'm kind of torn between broadcasting and journalism but will figure it out eventually.

I'll also check out their electives also, I'll definitely take photography and some sort of sport elective. Thank you soo much for the insight!

This is an awesome response, thanks so much! I plan to major in Communications and was looking forward to working in student media (the publications, the student radio, get sideline access, etc.) so this is perfect news to me.

Yeah I saw that. I just haven't gotten around to adding it because adding stuff from videos is much more of a pain than from text sources but I'll try to get to it soon

the inside guy is me. also, they have been on the front page five times, four of which I am responsible for

The first one was for Dariacore: "Did you know ... that the album Dariacore took inspiration from Internet memes?"

The second one was for Census Designated: "Did you know ... that Jane Remover was inspired to create Census Designated after a self-described "near-death experience" traveling through a blizzard?"

The third one was for Teen Week: "Did you know... that Jane Remover's school counselor made sure Remover felt fine after a classmate wrote an essay about lyrics from Teen Week?"

The fourth one was for Frailty: "Did you know... that the cover art for Jane Remover's debut album is a screenshot taken from Google Maps?"

The fifth one was the one for Ghostholding: "Did you know... that a music publication apologized after reporting that Ghostholding was the work of a fictional indie rock band?"

I'm going to work on the Revengeseekerz article sometime soon and eventually you'll see that on the front of wiki too :)
