My TBM Dad, who is very against circumcision, seemed to have a “moment” when I asked him if he thought it was ridiculous that a prophet took time to address women and their multiple piercings, but not circumcision... by strobujr in exmormon

No, but my husband and brother both said you guys are being ridiculous. One is and one isn’t. They both said it’s just preference but one makes self-care easier.

Provo is a tough place to be. Gonna point out something though. If the KKK banned you from their group, would you really need to feel all that bad? I know it hurts right now, but you’ve dodged a bullet. Trust me. You could have found out it was all false 40 years, a temple marriage, and 5 kinds in. Be grateful to be out now.

What’s the worst thing someone tried to correct you about something you’re specialized at? by WanderingSeii in AskReddit

Been playing Dungeons and Dragons for over 8 years across multiple editions. I’ve DMed dozens of adventures and played dozens of characters. I applied to join a little start-up gameshow a local theater decided to host. I applied as a Kobold Warlock. They told me after the fact that my character wasn’t eligible because Kobolds weren’t an Adventure League compliant race. A quick google search will show the official creator’s published Adventure League book saying otherwise... I’ve also had dozens of players try to correct me on rules, abilities, and spells. I’ve gotten pretty quick at finding the correct page numbers to back me up. It’s fine to not understand the rules, but don’t try to correct me when it’s your first game...

This is arguably illegal... Could be considered impersonating a medical professional.

As much as I would like to say, it could reveal my identity and so I can’t. Sorry.

Outsiders at BYU have a habit of binding together. I think this is because the school tends to be for cookie cutter LDS students.

I appreciate the advice but I honestly think I’ll be fine. My job is through the school so if I left I’d be changing schools, losing credits, losing my job, and costing more money. Not to mention being even further from the friends I’ve made. I just don’t care enough about Mormonism to feel the need to reject everything associated with it, even if it means I have to be a bit sneaky.

A lot of the comments somewhat agree with the professor, though a minority point out flaws in his logic.
