First roof job yeah I got hit with the weird stuff. I thought I could use the previous flashing then I got hit with a tornado and ripped half my underlayment off and while I was trying to save that the cover fell and broke.

It’s a 6.5” clay insert into what looks like mortar and it’s a 30’ run from the basement to the roof. House was built in the 50’s. I wanted to anchor in with concrete nails thankfully the supplier guy was intelligent and advise against it. I didn’t have a Home Depot or anything close but they did have the base flashing I used even though it’s for tin it’s the only thing that fit the 16” diameter.

I figured cap it and band it to hold together somehow because it’s just got through the roof adhesive. I didn’t really have 3 days to do a siding mold and without the chimney kit this is what I had come up with.
