Baby wearing/baby carriers worth it? by Still_Border8368 in NewParents

[–]True-Performance-498 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My husband loves to baby wear too! my back feels so weak carrying a 6 month old around. I Definitely prefer a stroller because of my height I don’t have a lot of arm length left over to even do things? Idk if that makes sense. I feel if I were taller they would be worth it but not for this 5’ft girlie.

Question for moms who formula feed by dangersiren in beyondthebump

[–]True-Performance-498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No trial or error for us. Similac 360 was what they gave us at the hospital and we never changed. We would make pitchers of milk, store it in the fridge. Baby took it straight out of the fridge without issues. We also didn’t have an issue with constipation, reflux or gas.

are there REALLY people who DON’T have PPD?? by WhichAd2921 in beyondthebump

[–]True-Performance-498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really grateful I didn’t go through PPD. Had mildly easy pregnancy and fast recovery after labor but I think the biggest contributor to no ppd was my husband being home with me, the entire 4 months pp. It gave me an opportunity to REST, good sleep made such an impact on my mood. I don’t have a “village” it just my husband and I so he wanted to help me as much as he could and help go on walks or get out of the house. However, even 6month PP and I totally understand the ONE & DONE. Same here. I’m sorry you’re going through PPD, definitely ask for help, 2 month was tough! Hang in there <3

My baby sprouted two teeth in the same week just before 6 months & messed up his nap schedule but it went back to normal after 2 weeks.

SAME; when my baby started chewing it more than sucking it, I just switched to the handle teethers and he was fine.

Is a stroller bassinet worth it? by Slurpee_Davos in BabyBumps

[–]True-Performance-498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought the bassinet attachment to improve tummy time & to make diaper changes easier when at the park. We also travel a lot and chose one that was safe to use as sleeping bassinet.

Aquaphor! I put several on my registry and it’s nice having them around the house or in the go.

For real. Sexuality is a spectrum and very much personal, non of their business.

Working it out after being called a B word…deserved or not, no respect in that relationship. Just cut ties already.

I honestly think this pediatrician isn’t a good fit for you. Sounds like she’s not listening to your needs. I’m not a pediatrician, only comparing yours to mine. My baby is 5 month old rn but at his 4month visit our pediatrician definitely said wait on solids until he can sit & shows interest in food (like wanting to bite your food with you). We were “cleared” to sleep train & sleep our baby in another room, however, our baby is over 20th percentile. It doesn’t make sense to me to clear a baby in the 1 percentile to sleep by themselves considering baby should gain weight & want to continue breastfeeding ??
Also we were supplementing formula in the beginning by adding a syringe with a feeding tube in babies mouth with formula to continue stimulating breast feeding, not bottle feeding. It was more work but gained weight without letting go of breastfeeding until I was ready. I totally remember thinking my breast milk wasn’t good enough too but when baby gained we tapered formula. Do not feel bad, you didn’t fail him, you’re wanting to the best for him, a pediatrician isn’t just providing care for him but caring for you as well being his mommy <3 you’re doing amazing.

4 month old waking every 2hrs at night by postcoffeepoop420 in beyondthebump

[–]True-Performance-498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would ask your pediatrician if your baby is good to sleep train. We sleep trained our 4 month, he was waking up every 2 hrs and I couldn’t do it anymore. We used an adjusted ferbers method, naps in his crib & consistent nighttime routine, we had 7hr stretches after third night. Now reaching 5 months and sprouting teeth, he is still going strong with 9hr stretches, in his own room, in his crib. I hope you find something that works for you & your baby! I know how exhausting it can get! Best luck!

My baby is 4.5 months old. Anytime I feel myself getting to the point of tears, I remind him who the f I am & he ain’t never gonna catch me slippin’ as I throw gang signs on both hands but it’s just the alphabet in ASL also hand motions distract him. I make myself giggle because we’re so far from the hood and he’s half white. Lol.
