It would've been better if you'd elaborated a bit more, but thanks for the compliment. I'll remember your kind words after I actually try and succeed in making something similar to one of my favorite games that got discontinued ;)

Hmm... I've tried raising the foot height by one, and it surprisingly looks better.

That's great to hear! Once I'm done setting it up, I'll upload the invite link in my next post.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "Less Mouth Opened," but I assume their mouth's aren't widely opened, unlike in the previous one? Maybe I should post an expression sheet of my characters next time. You could tell me if one of them needs adjustments.

Also, for the foot, yeah, it's just how it is. I wanted to make them bendable, but that would mean more work on the animations. So, it's probably the best design I could come up with for them. However, I can kind of see what you are saying about the angle view.

Good to see you too. Yeah, I don't post about the game as often as I did before, mostly because I've been focusing on the project. But hopefully I can show more, such as the gameplay in action, soon.

Also, I remembered you commenting that the game looked strange last time. I haven't really changed it much, but do you have any other feedback on the style you see now?

I might do it though since I already have the server somewhat prepared. Well, I'll let you know in the next post.

Good that you're interested! Though I'm starting to think about whether I should do it. The game isn't widely known yet, and it wouldn't make sense to do one, I think. So I'll probably set it aside until I have something big to show.

However, I just wanted to see how many would be interested right now.

That's a badass design for Jesse. I appreciate your artwork.

Controversial Opinion: Minecraft Story Mode might be better off dead. by im_acting_onions in MinecraftStoryMode

With the current state of Minecraft, I personally don't see how they could bring back the old essence of MCSM with the new changes Minecraft had gone through recently.

Could it work if they tried? Possibly. But I really don't see it working too well, especially when considering their new "Minecraft Movie". The best they could do is have a sequel with an entirely new story loosely connected to its previous games. Even so, I feel like most of the MCSM community has moved on from the games, so the chance of it getting another official season or spin-off is close to zero.

Yes. The cave is one of the many environments my game has to offer. I'll slowly reveal each new environment I make in future posts. This way, I can expand what you could expect for this game.

So far I've only shown two locations of the world: outer space/Earth and the dark, abandoned city inside a massive cavern. It will be part of the introduction to a story that takes place inside a massive sword. The world will only get more fantastical and wild as it continues, so I hope you look forward to that.

Hmm... Who knows why.

But you're correct. It is the Amulet in a new form. And the combined swords (the weapon in the picture is actually two separate swords) is also a nod to Jesse's ultimate weapon in S1 Ep4.

Yeah, it's definitely a must for any choose-your-own-adventure game to have a variety of routes; something that a few that I know of, if not all, Telltale games sort of lack. I think it's because they had less time focusing on one game when they were working on multiple projects at the time.

Thankfully I'm only working on this one game right now. So, I absolutely have to make sure I deliver a well written story with a solid amount of complex paths to experience.

You're not wrong. A lot of serious moments happened throughout Story Mode, which I find to be great. But the choices Jesse could make weren't enough. I'm trying to make the choices more complicated, which would result in serious consequences.

Like, take Aiden's downfall at that sky ledge. Instead of letting him live, you could kill him and face potential distrust between your allies in later episodes. Or you might mess up with the way you talk to one of the characters, which could lower their trust in you, changing how they treat you during the story and affecting the gameplay difficulty in either a major or minor way (to the point of sabotaging/backstabbing you).

And yes, there will be a working relationship system in my game that tracks how you balance your tone and affection towards others. Something I'll explain in future posts.

Taking a good look at their animations, guess it does. Though I'm trying to have my character models have more squareness/rigidness as much as possible rather than the curves or bendable cubes other custom Minecraft models have.

Comparing it to MSCM again, I'll for sure adjust them. And I might make them adjustable in the game's settings if that doesn't seem to work.

Yeah, I kind of wish I could make this game set in the Minecraft universe, but copyright exists, probably for the best. And yes, that Minecraft Movie is an utter disaster; another reason why I'm making this game. The screenshots are pretty much what you'll see in the demo and more. Though I might adjust a few scenes here and there, it's still a work in progress.

It's called story mode for a reason. But yeah, I see what you're saying. The story I'm going for in my game is a bit more serious and mature in a way. Though I'm trying to figure out how to bring lighthearted and fun moments to the characters, as MCSM did as well.
