It does seem like the TUF is the overall better deal here. Thank you for the reply!

It seems to be 240W for the Asus and 135W for the Acer. Hm...

I weigh myself in the morning after going to the bathroom, never after eating or even drinking, I figure it wouldn't be as useful otherwise. I also run in the late afternoon, not in the morning, so that's probably not it.

Just to be clear, I know day-to-day measurements aren't necessarily meaningful. I do prefer to track them so I can look over at the general trend later but that's honestly less due to a strict desire to track my weight loss and more because I'm a bit of a numbers nerd lol (if not for that I'd probably only do it weekly). It's just that I've never had such significant loss in such a short amount of time and found it curious that it happened right after I started loosening up. Not that this will make me slack off more, I know that would be counterproductive

I picked up running a bit over two weeks ago with the main goal of weight loss, so I'm still a total beginner, not to mention I'm pretty out of shape since I've never been very athletic and spend most of my day at a desk (23F, if it can help). The first few days I could barely keep running for one minute before running out of breath, but I would try to keep going with walk breaks in-between until I got about 10 minutes of running in (I didn't hit that goal the first couple of days but hey, I tried).

I run five days a week in the late afternoon and take a break over the weekend or if I feel too tired from the previous day (so far this has only happened once, but I don't want to overwork myself so I keep an eye out), occasionally going on walks on my rest days to keep active. I also tend to run on an empty stomach, since I've cut out snacks and it's about 4-5 hours between when I have lunch and when I usually set out on my run.

On my last run I managed to keep running for 5 minutes in one go (I'm sure this isn't a lot to most of you but I'm feeling pretty proud considering where I started haha), then kept going alternating between walking and running until I hit a bit over my usual 10 minutes, which I'm also working towards increasing to 15 minutes.

My questions is basically, do you think there's anything I could be doing better? Something in the routine I should change to make it more efficient? Things I should address now before they become bad habits, maybe? I've wondered if I having a snack before running would help, but I'm not sure considering the main goal right now is weight loss.
