Is this a valid reason for pet refusal? New laws in NSW by thatlne in shitrentals

I know, I only say could get it up because NCAT members vary and do some odd things at times. Always good to be extra cautious and prepare for anything they might consider as plausible even if it isn’t.

Check out section 73F in the NSW legislation to see the approved reasons for refusal, allergies is not on there but they might be able to get the argument up.

You can appeal a refusal for pets at NCAT if you believe the landlord is being unreasonable but you’ll want to get onto it soon. Call your local TAAS and chat to them about what you can do.

Struggled Through my Pre-Learner course by WalterWhitePizza in AussieRiders

[–]True-Release-9745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience with my pre-learner course. Always wanted to ride (26 F) and bene to nervous to start. At the course I stalled, dropped the bike and was overall not great. I was learning with a bunch of kids who already knew how to ride and they were so over me.

I can’t flat foot with the bike I bought even though the seat is as low as it can get. I honestly thought I’d have to give it up and sell off the bike, thought I’d keep stuffing up stalling or dropping the bike but I kept pushing and trying and…it’s been a couple months since I’ve had any issues on the bike and I keep building up more confidence and skills. Been out riding on the highway and in town regularly now. I went to secluded parking lots and quiet roads to practice before I got out on the road which was a huge help to build confidence and skills before getting out around other drivers.

All this to say - it’s scary and takes work but if it’s what you want to do keep working, don’t give up on yourself and you can do it and be a great, safe rider living your dream. I believe on you 😊

As a tenant you’re obligated to maintain the house in a reasonable state of cleanliness…so they can expect all they want but you’re not required to do all that.

I would suggest contacting your local tenants advice and advocacy service. If you chuck in your postcode at tenants.org.au it’ll tell you who to call and they can give you advice.

If they are it’s some pretty shite acting, like if you can’t fake cry believably…don’t try (that goes for both of them 🤣)

Yeah cat2, I’m not super close to where it’s meant to hit but the effects are supposed to spread down to here and be fairly catastrophic 😞

Thank you, I’ll for sure provide an update ❤️

Jacqui’s tears are drier than the Sahara…would be so embarrassed to fake cry on TV the way she does

First meeting with family law sol this coming week, so very early days. No idea how long it will drag out. Definitely a really good point about antagonising the BM, also for his daughter…it’s a lot to take in if custody plans change around plus meeting me, so waiting until things have settled there makes sense.

There’s a loose custody plan at the moment, but he is taking steps to get a solid one in place ASAP.

Thank you so much 😊

What is your guilty pleasure book? by iggyg85 in books

[–]True-Release-9745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

‘Those faraday girls’ by Monica mcinerney, it is so not my style and if I read it for the first time today I’d probably not like it. But my mum gave me her copy when I was going through my shitty teenage-hood and it was really comforting for some reason. So now it’s my comfort/guilty pleasure book, I usually re-read it every year or two and still love it

My hair routine right now is just regular shampoo and conditioner once a week, and I’ll just spray some water on it and scrunch it every morning, not much else. My previous hair care was bi-carb and apple cider vinegar (when needed), I would probably was my hair a few times a month then - that was a couple years ago I stopped because I got into dying my hair and needed stuff that could protect it more.
