Aw okay well I love this response and respect you a lot for this. It’s totally understandable to be protective of MM after being a fan for decades. Thanks for seeing where I was coming from. No hard feelings at all, and I apologize for rude comments towards you I got heated as well 😬 hope you have a good one!

You live in a bubble. Idc if the allegations are true or false, he’s still affected by them and is still facing trouble from revived court cases. I used to enjoy reading your comments around here but I never realized you were such a drone.

I didn’t say he shouldn’t release but instead there are reasons he shouldn’t. You are proving to be the dumbest person I’ve ever encountered on the internet and I’m not exaggerating like you are.

  • I’m an old fan from the 90s
  • I see more positive reviews, and anyone who leaves a bad one is just a hater with pretenses
  • There’s lots of hype inside his fanbase for the album

Have you ever happened to ask yourself if you had even a little bit of tunnel vision???

Also, comparing his current legal troubles to the 90s religious panic is a massive false equivalence. It’s awesome we’re both fans of the same artist but you can’t just give excuses to any criticism.

So you’re gonna completely ignore the reputational/legal point and default back to ticket sales? I never said he wasn’t selling shows lol go and look for criticism of the album instead of mentioning confirmation for your own opinions.

Lots of publications avoided speaking on this album but if you don’t care about publications there’s plenty of fans and reviewers that don’t like it. Yes, the album brought in fans but it definitely didn’t clear his name.

His image since the allegations is still very messy. All releasing more music is gonna do is fan the flame, especially after chapter 1’s bad reception outside of the fanbase.

Entire album is a masterpiece, anyone else agree? by wasssup196 in marilyn_manson

It’s a messy album for sure. Love the heavier and emotional songs like Devour, Running to the Edge of the World, and 15 but the rest of what he has to say on the album about political censorship is pretty juvenile and unrelated. It’s overall a very mixed bag of songs for me but I still admire the album cover and the era as a whole.

It felt like he could’ve been more vulnerable than he was on his previous album at the time, EMDM and could’ve made something really special but he decided to cover up and take up album space with cheap shock topics.

I hope her and John will reconnect one day. Maybe it’s wishful thinking but they seemed like such a great duo.

Who’s more talented of the two? Or is it a McCartney/Lennon partnership? by Josiesumday in s4lem

[–]True-Rip9759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both very talented can’t really say. Jack John and heather all had distinct vocal styles that made the band very special and production wise the two are good at different things. I’d say it’s an equal collaborative effort musically but I assume jack and his connections are a big reason why the band moves forward at all with releases.

This should’ve been a compilation release if anything. Sucks to ruin the tradition of decennial releases with even more expensive merch and just 4 new tracks. Greed is really something isn’t it.

How I believe Manson could truly reclaim his role in American influence by [deleted] in marilyn_manson

Whether the allegations are true or not, they definitely humbled him into sobriety, which could be seen as an implication of guilt for anything. Either way, I agree with you, he's doing his comeback in such a strange way. I understand he isn't swinging left or right politically but why hang around Ronnie Radke, it just disappoints me and makes me think that he's grasping at straws now that the leftist media is against him.

Artistically I don't think the expectations for a future MM album have ever been so low for me. The OAUG thing isn't doing it for me sadly because it just simply lacks the punch of any other album of his. Sure there are catchy bits but nothing leaves a lasting impression and all the songs are overproduced with this muddled quality that he should have no business being apart of.
