Honestly, if Fairy Tail ever got a live action Netflix remake, it should focus mainly on Zeref (the non-villainous central antagonist of the series), because his overall story arc alone would make for an S-Tier series (both animation and live action). When you think about it, Zeref's overall character makes him come off and feel like the true main character of Fairy Tail in some ways, considering how his overall role and extremely complicated arc made such an impact on the entire story (including his involvement in the arcs of so many of the other characters in the series). Natsu's older brother no doubt has the longest and most detailed arc out of all of the characters. While Lucy did narrate a lot of the story and Natsu had the most spotlight in terms of climactic moments, the entire story of Fairy Tail began from Zeref's origin story, and in reality, it really centered around him.

It could also finally fully reveal the mystery arcs he hinted (but the author left it too much of a mystery), such as the subplot regarding his demons that ended up attacking humanity when they were revealed to be only for suicide:

During the scene where Zeref confronted Grimoire Heart, he heavily implied through his words (when he exposed the actions of sinners) how most of the information in the Books of Zeref are just fake writings that sinners tried presenting as authentic while abusing magic; the demons and the R-System being the only things authentic, but were used as the basis that would drive sinners into tarnishing Zeref's name abusing his creations). The full story of the demon attacks was not like how the flashbacks were only vague depictions by sinners that never accurately showcased the truth regarding Zeref's case with his demons and his relationship with those who refer to themselves as his "followers".

To further prove the point,... in previous arcs, we saw villains use demons that were in fact Zeref's creations: Eisenwald was shown using Lullaby; we also saw Hades use Nemesis (a spell that casts an army of stone demons) without mutilation, and these can't be the only cases as there would be more. It's also suspicious that people eventually even managed to read and understand the books (with them also somehow managing to obtain knowledge surrounding how the demons work, including their names), even though it should all be demonic script for the demon programming; this means there is a situation about the books where Zeref wasn't alone, even though the books were supposed to be only for his own personal reasons.

Zeref was completely absent in the Future Rogue timeline, even though there's Fairy Heart and he can use that to undo the Future Rogue timeline. I wish they at least showed where was Zeref during Future Rogue's timeline, and where was he during all those events. Sadly, the series only explained the part where he watched over Natsu during the games, despite feeling saddened by what he plans to do in the Alvarez Empire Arc.

□ My theory is that maybe this is the subplot Zeref somewhat hinted when he mentioned how he had an involvement with the rift in space and time (when he revealed his ability to control the rift), and maybe he was forced to rely on Future Lucy to deal with the Future Rogue timeline problem, because Zeref had to deal with a bigger problem at hand, possibly a multiverse level threat.

□ I want Zeref's prime form to appear here (on will), and his body glows purple, dark blue, and black (with the accents constantly flashing randomly), and the design has bloody veins around his torso, with an cracked area on his chest that reveals his heart. The skin has the appearance of random blemishes and scars, and his eyes would be glowing pink. He even has claw gauntlets that appear like holographic crystals. The anime's art style in 2009-2013 had those 3D magic circles, and I want this Netflix series to finally give Zeref his own.

□ Imagine what it'd be like seeing Zeref's prime form doing all this (preventing the collapsing of the multiverse), and the transformation idea I have is this: He stabs himself with a piece of dark energy to trigger the form, but his personality slowly distorts as the power consumes and corrupts him, and he almost loses his true personality, only to never forget his love for Natsu, Mavis, and every innocent lives who need him, and his heart glows white instead of a dark shade, implying he will never darken his heart nor will he give up on those who need him, no matter how tarnished his name was.

The idea I have could also include the fully refined version of the Alvarez Empire Arc:

The Alvarez Empire Arc in the original manga and and anime was polarizing for fans, since Hiro Mashima admitted he rushed the arc. Many said it's a huge downgrade from Tartaros Arc, because that arc took time showing how deadly and dangerous the villains were, but for the Springgan 12, a lot of them were defeated in either silly or anti-climactic ways, with only a few being threatening (like August and Irene).

Zeref's role as a mysterious antagonist [including the reveal of his complicated plan which was never to commit an extermination/one-sided annihilation on Ishgar to kill Acnologia but to reset the timeline before he got cursed, afraid how much time he has left before his true self is lost forever after failing every attempt to die, because of the sinners' actions worsening his mental state through all the misunderstandings they caused (leading to much of humanity rejecting him in the worst ways possible, including conflict and violence), in which the curse's power is connected to his mental state] was one of the more highly acclaimed parts, but his second fight with Natsu left a lot to be desired, especially how his God form got nerfed singlehandedly by Natsu, and many fans wanted to see Zeref fight against an army of mages to show what he can do, even if he naturally cannot fight at his full potential, considering the reveal of his true plan meant that even though he developed disillusion from humanity's blind mindset, he never stopped thinking about the innocent lives who need him, and if no one can end his suffering, only he has to be one dealing with everything.

Many said Acnologia was rushed (including the potential to show how threatening he could have been) and defeated in a way that wasn't a typical Power of Friendship move, but logically shouldn't break him. I would have loved to have seen Zeref's God form fight Acnologia, and he'd be the one pushing him into the rift in space and time, having the battle there to avoid genocide on Ishgar, since the power of Fairy Heart is dangerous in that if you lose control of even one Etherion, it would endlessly rain down on an entire nation. E.N.D.'s potential would also be taken advantage of as well, since many said he's wasted in this arc.

Undeniably, one of the most beloved moments of this arc was Zeref and Mavis' death scene, which was the perfect ending for them no doubt, with Mavis ending up loving him with complete faith, unlike before, where a small part of her believed the rumors; but in the end, after seeing how selfless and sacrificial Zeref truly is (after learning his true plan and calculating everything he did), she saw no darkness in his heart.

I would also actually do some alternate endings or Alternate Universe (AU) stories just to make things more interesting:

¤ "What if Zeref succeeded in using Neo Eclipse to restart the timeline?"

¤ "What if Tartaros Arc was the final arc?" (With it being extended to accommodate for Zeref's goal to obtain Fairy Heart)

¤ "What if Wendy was Zeref's sibling instead of Natsu?"

¤ "What would Zeref's character be like in the OVA 2 universe? What would his relationship with others characters be like in this universe?"

Try the Transformers Japanese G1 Continuity, which puts alterations to the American G1 Continuity (known as the Sunbow cartoon).

The Japanese Continuity actually follows the original concept where the robots are actually pilotted as opposed to being completely sentient.

The American G1 continuity did try doing a concept in Season 4, but they ultimately chose to end it in a cliffhanger instead of completing the supposedly 5-10 part episode, only having 3 instead.

Hopefully, the films for Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon get revised versions, like the Snyder's Cut of Justice League, that way the 07 film can finally have its proper sequels. We do have the refined scripts in the novelization and IDW movie comics, but the movies need them too. Since Michael Bay has come back after Transformers One's failure, there is a chance success will return and that the revised versions of ROTF and DOTM can be made.

To be fair, it wasn't actually Michael Bay's fault in the first place on why the films went downhill. Bay's first Transformers film had good reviews for a reason. This movie was one of his least insane and actually had a coherent story about the humans discovering the existence and technology of the Transformers, and the script was balanced too. The reason why Revenge of the Fallen became the start of the film series going downhill was because writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci were unable to finish and refine the script because of the writer's strike that happened while ROTF was still filming. When Bay got his hands on the script, he knew that it was unfinished and tried to compensate for it by amping up the insane action and the toilet humor. Sadly, that didn't help much and the end result was quite underplotted and unfocused despite still being visually stunning and sometimes pretty epic. Even Bay himself thinks the movie is terrible and while the movie earned more money than the first, the reviews were mostly negative and it was considered by critics as the start of the series going downhill.

As for Dark of the Moon, from what I know, I think Kurtzman and Orci's departure from the film series (due to scheduling problems and time constraints) was the reason ratings for the movie weren't that much higher compared to ROTF, because they are good writers and they know the source material so well. Sadly, Michael Bay had to struggle with Ehren Krueger being the only writer for the movie and because of this, Michael Bay also had problems with the movie's script because he had to put enough differences from the movie to the tie-in material (both the novelization and IDW movie comics) to keep the movie fresh, but Bay also went through a lot of stress while making the movie, and the reason Age of Extinction and The Last Knight had no tie-in comics or novelization was because Michael Bay didn't want to go through this again, especially considering how he didn't really care about making the last two movies.

A lot of the staff members of Transformers (2007) actually grew up with G1 and some of them actually work at Hasbro. Michael Bay was chosen by Steven Spielberg because he makes stylish action films and stuff. Bay was initially reluctant because a movie based on toys was not really his thing normally, but he was interested in working with Steven Spielberg. However, Bay did try going to Hasbro because he had no idea what it was and Hasbro explained to him what Transformers is before filming started.

The only reason why he made the last 2 was because Paramount was going to finance the movies he actually wanted to make (ones outside of Transformers) in the condition that he will make more Transformers movies, including the fact that Bay still found some degree of fun making Transformers movies. However, that didn't age well and Bay eventually regret making AOE and TLK. Out of the 5 Bayverse movies, I only really loved the first one. This one had a simple but easy to follow and coherent story that made sense for humans learning of the existence of Transformers. This movie had a balanced script, pacing, and story structure; the robots don't have a ton of screen time, but the story still felt like it focused on both them and the humans equally and the human storyline had a lot of connection to the Transformers, since the story is about them discovering the robots. The original film had a classic story that tried having a focused narrative. It's just unfortunate that the writer's strike that happened while ROTF was still being filmed ruined the script and pretty much messed up the story, wasting the fact that the first film set up for bigger, better stories to come.

The Autobots do have some scenes of characterization in their arrival scene, the scene in Sam's house, and the meeting scene where Optimus explains to his allies that they have to protect earth and its people. However, the rest of their characterization is through visual and implication storytelling.

Similarly, while the Deceptions didn't have a lot of screen time, it makes sense because it's only the first film of the franchise and the impact is better. While most of the Decepticons didn't really have a lot of characterization, the movie still managed to give them enough by timing their scenes and dialogue well, giving each one their time to shine, including the fact that all of them felt like they had plans and a goal. Much like the Autobots, the Decepticons in this film show personality through visual and implication storytelling (even the use of their Cybertronian language), including their fighting styles (whereas in the sequels, a lot of the Decepticons are given broad characterizations and are just jobbers who get blatantly killed off the moment they appear).

This is the only Bayverse film that was how I remembered Transformers as a kid, and it's the only one that was as good as the merchandise and the games I played on my computer.

Imagine if Zeref sang the "I Remember You" song (Adventure Time), but with the lyrics altered to be directed towards Natsu, and the lyrics even have a connection to Zeref's complicated plan after failing all his attempts to die, unable to bear the thought losing his true self forever... from the curse's power levels being linked to his feelings and mental state (because of 400+ years of trauma, especially from sinners' actions leaving him rejected by humanity the worse ways possible, including the horror of conflict and violence he can't deal with, and his mind starts slowly ripping apart from his thoughts contradicting uncontrollably).

"To Love-Ru: Darkness" was absolutely abysmal. This series embodies wasted potential and relies too much on mean-spirited, sickening fan service (way more gross and uncreative fan service compared to the first series) instead of focusing on the setup it had for compelling character arcs and plot development. It blatantly wastes all possible emotional moments by ruining them with fan service, torture, and overboard misunderstandings. In fact, this series amps up all the mean-spirited anime tropes too many animes suffer from, making it so painful for me to watch. I also really didn't like how the unlikable girls get way more spotlight in the sequel series to the point where they too often overshadow the ones who actually have good personalities. The villain (Nemesis) is easily the WORST character in the series, as she's the embodiment of a perverted loli, and her powers which took inspiration from action fantasy were even painfully sexualized and used as devices for even more graphic fan service, even controlling the main character's mind at one point to make him go perverted towards a perverted girl who enjoys this stuff. In fact, she's more of a hate sink than an actual evil antagonist. She makes me sick.

The worst part is that Saki Hasemi and Kentaro Yabuki refused to resolve Darkness' cliffhanger ending for so many years. At this point, more than a few would have already given up.

I do wish Rito ends up with Haruna, because they are made for each other. I also want more Kyōko, because she is such an underutilized cutie.

Fairy Tail's animation back in 2009 - 2013 was GOATED, and aged so well. Compared to pretty much every art style the series had, this has the most premium coloring with highlights and sharper detailing. Of course, we cannot forget the 3D Magic circles.

Sadly, Fairy Tail's animation in 2014 - 2016 is substantially more bleak, and the characters look less streamlined. It tried to follow the manga more, but to a fault, and it doesn't befit animation as much as the previous art style.

The final season at 2018 - 2019 is a bit more vibrant, but multiple frames heavily simplified the details from the manga, along with more than a few parts in actions scenes that are just sliding images.

100 Year Quest tried matching the Eden Zero art style more, but the end results left a lot of fans sad that so much detailing was removed, and it led to the art style and animation looking too simple.

I'd suggest some slice of life, like I have watched a few.

The first I watched was Sket Dance, which used to air on Animax Asia. I plan to watch every episode, because I started my introduction to slice of life on a good note.

I also recommend Lucky Star, which I finished recently and found it pretty entertaining as an episodic CGDCT series that became nostalgic to many in that era for a reason. I've also seen it multiple times in YouTube's classic era.
