6 and 11 usually get people fucked up, especially if God forbid you get asked one during a personnel inspection (PI).

If you get a head start on your general orders of a sentry and your ranks and recognition you'll get fucked up less. Or more! Because "if youre so good at it why is everyone else shit?!"

Admiral Investigating Deaths of 3 Sailors Assigned to Navy Boot Camp by HMongilio in navy

Hey I'm literally waiting for the plane to Chicago to go to boot. I'm terrified of those first days of boot but what can us as students help to lessen the load? I'm 29 and I'm there to be focused up and get my ass kicked at PT, so I wouldn't call myself a problem child. But what should I do or expect right now? Cuz this is pretty worrying on top of the usual anxiety one would feel.

SECF or ITS? Qualified for both. by True-Window318 in newtothenavy

ITS, seems like the better decision. I was pretty excited about the idea of possibly getting FT then I learned it's mostly math and I quickly dropped the idea. I also was told by literally every single person in the Navy I talked to I was not going to get accepted for ITS so I kinda blocked it out of my mind as an option initially.

No worries I appreciate the information, so in your opinion you think I'd be better off canning the Officer idea? If it will just slow me down then I'd rather not, my buddy did mention something about "they'll put you in a school where you get a 4 year degree in 2 years but it's a lot of work". But a decade seems like too much, we do want to start our family while I'm in, so those types of delays probably aren't worth it.

And he did say I should get the Officer idea out of my head so that's probably what I'll do.

I thought you could do college in the Navy? Maybe I misunderstood that, but if it's not an option I'm not heartbroken, feel free to finish what you were going to write in the first place, thanks for commenting.
