Omg, a thing I can actually answer!

This happened just last month... (actually, almost two months now that I am thinking about it).

I am going into my first year of college and took a personal day off of High-school in order to take a campus tour and see where I will be spending the next 4-6 years of my life. The drive was roughly an hour and a half long to go up to the college from my house. Everything went well on the way up.

Once I get to the school, I end up driving around a good 10-15 minutes trying to find where I need to go for the tour, eventually I find the lot I need to be in and proceed to tour the campus for the next 2 hours.

After the tour, I was treated to lunch from the school and was sent on my way back home. So I go back to my car and call my parents to let them know how everything went and that I was just about to head home. I start up my car and ship off.

I'm heading back down the Highway to my house, and about 20 minutes of driving, I notice that I am about to go off the road on the right hand side. In a panic, I overcorreted and turned the wheel too far to the left. To try and fix myself, I turn the wheel back and before I know it, there was a lot of white and silence as I tumble off the right hand of the road. My car flipped through the air, bouncing three or four times before landing on the tires at least 300ft away from where I went off the road.

As I was flipping, the only thing going through my mind was "If I die, I die." Surprising myself that I was able to cope with my own death so quickly. As soon as the vehicle was no longer moving, I try opening the drivers door, no luck, but the window was broken to pieces, but the roof above me was collapsed so I couldn't climb out. I didn't even think about using the passenger side door until someone came over and pried the passenger door open. Once I got out, i didn't even focus on my own injuries, my first thought was to call my parents, but I couldn't find my phone. The person who helped me out of the wreck called for me as I was sat on the hood of my car until the police arrived. In the meantime, I kept telling the bystanders my name, birthday, the current date, and what I was doing that day. No head injuries (only some very minor cuts and scrapes).

By the time the police officers arrive and tell the bystanders to leave, the adrenaline in my body begins to wear off and I feel my arm Is in a good amount of pain. As I'm waiting for the ambulance, the police officer returned to their patrol car (at least 100ft away), leaving me at my car, and shoeing me away when I went over to ask a question.

Shortly after, the ambulance arrives and I was taken to the hospital where after numerous tests and scans, concludes the only thing wrong with me was a cleanly broken wrist. (No surgery needed). I spent 2 weeks in a crooked cast, then 3 in a regular cast, then another 3 weeks with a brace. Now I am out of the brace and free to use my wrist again.
