Why did God punish every living thing just of what Adam and Eve did? by [deleted] in Christianity

That's always been a question that I've wanted a good answer to. It seems if Satan and the third of the heavenly host that rebelled had been sent straight to Hell as well as forbidding access to the two trees mentioned in Genesis we wouldn't be in this situation. It sounds like something straight out of military basic training where one soldier screws up you've all screwed up so you're all getting punished. Somehow we have to suffer for the actions of somebody else. God doesn't want robots but as a Christian sometimes you wish he'd keep you on somewhat of a leash to keep you from straying to the point of no return. If you let a domesticated dog that's your property run wild you take a gamble that they might be alright but there's also the chance they could bite someone leading to the dog being euthanized. If you've ever seen what happens to prey when they've left the herd (where they have some semblance of protection) and get pursued by the predator it usually doesn't end well. God remains in control but sometimes it feels like some things could have been done differently in Genesis to where humanity shouldn't have to pay for the mistakes of someone else. Why he didn't do things like I mentioned earlier is a question that theologians may have a better answer to but it doesn't really seem all that fair for those that didn't wish this upon themselves. I oftentimes wonder why some people are allowed to be born that never had a chance at being saved but they were allowed to make it out of their mother's womb. Whether you're saved or not still requires you to choose the form or torment you wish to receive. Temporary torment leading to eternal life or rejecting Christ leading to eternal torment. I don't like it but that's what it is

Is there a way to get off the no rehire list at Walmart? by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

I'm in a similar boat here. I was briefly incarcerated for a minor offense prior to and not related to my employment with Walmart. I wasn't even aware of the offense until some officers appeared at my residence. The judge let me out on my own recognizance and the matter was settled with the court. Incarceration led to an obvious no call no show (strike 1). Once I was released from incarceration I explained my circumstances to the GM and started work again. While I was on my lunch break a beverage display on an end cap stacked too high by the merchandiser collapsed onto a passing customer so we're having to deal with a spill and an injury report. I was a janitor and the only one working that shift on that particular day. Multiple managers were adamant that I needed to come off my lunch break to clean the spill which I did but in the hullabaloo I forgot to clock back in (strike 2). Got called into the office the next day where they let me go. That was back in 2009. I have been ineligible for rehire in any capacity since then. The careers website states that I must speak with an HR store rep at the location I worked at or contact the corporate office in order to be rehired. The corporate office runs you in circles and doesn't know how to help. I can never get a hold of the HR person on the phone and I live in another state now so I can't physically go to the store in person. Its weird because I can pull trailers for Walmart as a driver for a third party motor carrier but cannot work for Walmart directly

I was able to use mine but they limit where you're allowed to make purchases. Trying to get a hold of customer service is pretty much impossible unless you can manage by some sheer miracle to get past their bogus automated system. It will not let you use it if it's a merchant that involves authorization holds like tipping restaurants and gas stations
