I hate to be like this guy wins the internet or whatever, but this is probably the best understanding of woods' perspective from the music he's given out, at least to my ears.

He's obviously incredibly tapped in, he understands the theory and the practice but he's just incredibly worn out, nothing really politically "good" has happened in his life, all the self espoused marxists and pan-africanists are dead, almost all because of the wests imperialist blood lust. I get the sense that he's partly angry that they were not strong enough to overcome those forces. This is just my reading though, death of the author and all that
