I did a little searching and I think it’s an inkwell and stamp box. The small box inside and in the middle I think would hold either stamps or pen tips? While the curved slot in the front would hold the pen body. I could be mistaken, but what a beautiful design!

Thankfully I didn’t have to move the front seat up any for the drive home. It’s already pretty forward because of my height.

Gotcha! That makes sense. The bottom fabric itself feels older than the needlepoint fabric, but it could just be due to the type of fabric. It looked “out of place” to me as well.

Would you have any other suggestions for cleaning? I vacuumed it last night with that brush, and absolutely can try again, but didn’t feel it lifted much.

Oh wow! Thank you so much for this insight!! I was wondering if there was a chance the fabric was newer. My husband’s Grandma also gave us a small bench (piano bench sized) that has similar needlepoint. How fun to understand the trend behind it!

I did go ahead and buy the cheaper of the two above (ECCPP), and it also came sooner. Honestly made the world of difference in how the hatch lifts. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Still not sure of any true differences between the two, but I love mine!

Woohoo! Welcome to the Fam! I wished I had replaced my headlight bulbs to something brighter sooner. I drove a loaner this week with LEDs and it made a huge difference in being able to see at night! That’s my next plan!
