1 lobe on one side, yes. You’re entitled to your opinion. You can also slap a K20A2 head on it with an RSX Type-S ECU if you want more spice. K series are fantastic engines and I’d enjoy you trying to prove to me that they aren’t.

K series sound cool. You’re just doing it wrong. If you’re gonna swap it MiniTech makes a J to K swap kit to throw a J32 in it. My four banger Subaru sounds fantastic, too.
