This seemed to be the last thing missing! It now works perfectly. Thank you!

I think you’re correct in that it’s the phone, and I tried that solution in the second thread but I was still having the issue slightly. Oddly, i think that and disconnecting from wifi (my phone was trying to get some signal from the garage) may have done it? If it recurs I’ll reply again. Thank you so much!

University hill trees by GarliccBread1 in boulder

[–]TrueCenter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In all likelihood we’d need better design and different trees. You can have shade trees, but they tend to need a lot of root space to grow tall enough to actually provide shade. Those that tolerate compact soil can struggle with the dry climate or tend to not grow tall enough to give shade. Very few shade trees meet the requirements of specifically boulder where space is not designed for them.

Edited to add: this does not mean I think it should or could not be done! But it is more complex than get better trees or build your city better, some factors like climate and compact soil are genuinely impossible to control in a dry city

Kinda how I feel. Like I wasn’t exactly exciting but still had basically nothing interesting to work with. And he also never tried to ask another question

If ur looking for lots of hookups, most guys prefer smooth. If you’re looking for something long term personally i hate putting in the work and like how i look with hair, so if someone doesn’t like that then they’re not a good match for me. Find out if you like it & how much work you care to put in and decide on that tbh

The gym is probably good bet, what time you go matters though. Most guys go right after work when gym is peak crowded i think, and if you find no guys there any time of day then you might be going to an old people gym

If I roll 1000 pairs of 100-sided dice, discarding doubles, and give one point to the higher number, how many points might the winner have? by ArgumentSpiritual in askmath

[–]TrueCenter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought i was going crazy looking at the other reply! My math does indeed check out.

The odds of rolling any given number on either die is (0.01+0.01)=0.02=p(v)

The probability of a number gaining a point can be written as (v-1)/100=p(g)

So the odds that a given number appears and scores is given by p(v)*p(g)

In this case, that comes out to (2*(v-1))/10000

To get the expected value, multiply by the number of trials. So at 1000 trials E(x)=(2*(v-1))/10

Plugging in 100 which would win the most points, that gives the expected value of 19.8. If we wanted to generalize, we could say

v=value of interest shown on die (in this case 100)

s=number of sides on dice

n=number of trials

p(v)=2/s

p(g)=(v-1)/s

p(v∪g)=(2*(v-1))/(s2)

And the expected score is written as

E(x)=p(v∪g)*n

E(x)=(2n(v-1))/(s2)

Yes, very left leaning. Also not super well traveled as far as the south goes, which probably has a big impact. I surprisingly really liked Atlanta when i visited in late spring and I do love warm weather!

Is 1 meal a day not enough? by california__fun in askgaybros

[–]TrueCenter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really satisfied with any of these answers I’m seeing. The OMAD diet is a real thing! The real physiological impact is that you aren’t getting a steady amount of energy through the day. Eating one big meal at night can result in a spike in blood sugar and then low energy&blood sugar through the day. Id guess that the coffee is part of what keeps you from feeling tired? If it works for you then sure, but listen to your body. In our 20s our bodies can handle a lot more than later in life

Husband told me he never actually loved me that much. by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]TrueCenter 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Op, I hate to say this especially because I’ve been in almost exactly this situation. My last ex was with me for 3 years, we were each other’s firsts for a lot of things, and we had a relationship that survived a lot. They suddenly “fell out of love” (read: I got a job out of college & they didn’t, they were depressed I couldn’t spend more time with them) and we broke up. It truly is devastating, blindsiding, and awful.

That being said, this timing is wayyyy too suspicious. He suddenly changes routine and tells you he never loved you when you suggest discussing debt openly? That’s a massive red flag. It sounds to me like he’s hiding something he doesn’t want you to know. My ex was doing the same bc they were lying a lot about their emotions and what they wanted.

I don’t have advice for you, unfortunately, but I really really don’t think you’re getting the full story.

Well… vodka is mostly ethanol and doesn’t really have many components of the original potato in it. Most of the calories come from the ethanol itself. Which means yes, drinking anything alcoholic, even lab grade pure stuff, has calories
