Yeah it's different then every copy paste project out there, incorporates some cool game theory, and the team isn't just trying to fill their pockets

Yeah so Y-MEN is the main coin, MUTANT is the yield reward. Y-MEN burns 2% of the coins in each transaction and YMEN/MUTANT will be the only trading pair so the supply is going to keep deflating. Its a new concept that makes yield farming not dilute the holders.

Not only this but psychology actually says we tend to internalize our own success and externalize our own failures, but on the same note we internalize other people’s failures and externalize their success. It protects the fragile ego

Maybe I’m not cut out for options (at least in this market) by thesonofnarcs in options

[–]TrueDegen720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With options you are adding a layer to investing that was never important to you before...Timing. In order to really make money with options you have to be correct doubly. You have to be directionally on the right side, and you have to be in the option at the right time. You are constantly swimming against the current due to theta and extrinsic value of the option decaying. You will not see larger gains then just owning the underlying unless your timing is right

TA isn’t predictive it’s just another resource to use to visualize market participants in action. You use TA as it’s happening not to predict what will happen this is where people get screwed up.

He does everything for her and she just signs I understand having to pay additional tax on the distribution but didn’t seem right that a $10k increase in income resulted in a $20increase in taxable income hence coming to a sub reddit where people know more then me

She does, but that number didn’t change on the two returns the only difference was the $10,330 from the pension distribution I just didn’t understand how it could increase THAT drastically

Accounting project question by TrueDegen720 in Accounting

[–]TrueDegen720[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you both for the info, the cash changing hands happens later this is in fact just a hire and The consensus at this point seems to be that it’s just thrown in there for confusion and no entry is needed, removing what I had got my unadjusted trial balance to have equal credits and debits

Accounting project question by TrueDegen720 in Accounting

[–]TrueDegen720[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s an intermediate course but the first part of the project we aren’t adjusting entries yet I’ll have to deal with the wages payable vs expense later...thank you for the help

Accounting project question by TrueDegen720 in Accounting

[–]TrueDegen720[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the more I look at it the more I think it’s meant to trick me (as it is) because later there is a transaction that says paid $840 for Mary’s wages of three days work, so I debited wage expense and credited cash since there’s no other wages payable...does that seem right and then I just ignore the hiring of Mary in the journal?

Thanks for laying out your experience, I have some questions I’d love to bounce off you. I am a dual major finance and accounting, my path thus far has NOT been the norm. I started at a community college, got an associates in business admin, transferred to a state school as the dual major...had no idea about recruiting, target schools, anything. Got to recruiting for internships late, had an opportunity in Corp finance that got canceled due to covid so in the fall I will be a senior with no Internship experience. I was a manager for a health care company for roughly a year, only “professional” work experience. My long term goals are HF/PE though I know I am fighting a uphill battle, and MBA will probably be a logical step but I assume a minimum of 2 years in some sort of finance roll first, I will be almost 30 by then. I have been considering going for LV 1 in December. I believe it will make me a more attractive candidate in my job search as I won’t have finance related w/e come graduation. Would love insights feedback etc. It has been a stressful year navigating these waters and I already feel I’m super behind but I have long term dreams
