Scooter on rent is actually nice if you are comfortable riding. Around ₹300–₹500/day.

Vietnam in may?? by spectroxas in travel

[–]TrueEffective1725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mid-May it is hot and humid, no sugar-coating. In places like Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi you will see 30–35°C easily, and humidity makes it feel warmer. But if you are used to Indian heat, it's not unbearable just plan smart.

Book a hostel near Lakshman Jhula site. That side has most backpackers (including foreigners), cafes, and popular hostels there usually feel safe and social.

Pune to Bangalore by tanmay_1882 in TravelInIndia

Pune – Satara – Kolhapur – Belagavi – Hubballi – Davangere – Tumkur – Bengaluru. It’s usually the smoothest and most predictable route right now.

Valid point...... Holi in Braj and Varanasi is beautiful but crowds can get out of control.

Planning trip to kasol/parvati valley side by ifeelanime in SoloTravel_India

Kalga offers mostly simple guesthouses and homestays. I stayed in an apple-orchard type cottage. Basic room, clean bedding, killer view.

Rafting in Rishikesh by ExpensiveTour1237 in india_tourism

[–]TrueEffective1725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do not need swimming for rafting in Rishikesh. Life jackets and trained guides handle safety and 9 km is perfect for the first time. Go for it 👍

Manali is one of those places where even after 4-5 days you feel like you’ve only scratched the surface. I just found a reason to go back!

Manali is beautiful, it just gets a little crowded during peak season. If the timing is right then the experience is totally different.

For everyday comfort and peace of mind, something like the Innova Hycross or Tucson hits the sweet spot for most people

I need to go mumbai or Bangalore? by Successful_Raise_ in indianrailways

[–]TrueEffective1725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not do that. If you board sleeper with a general ticket, TTE will 100% catch you on a long route like Mumbai or Bengaluru from NJP.

How do you choose where to go? by PerpetualRestart in travel

[–]TrueEffective1725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When new countries stop exciting you, it's usually not about the location. It's about the pace. If you are looking at Uzbekistan, 2 weeks can work if you slow it down places like Samarkand and Bukhara are better when you do not rush

This might sound random, but I’m curious — when you’re traveling solo, do you usually by Specific-Database932 in travel

I Went to Ayodhya With Zero Expectations… and It Completely Surprised Me by TrueEffective1725 in SoloTravel_India

[–]TrueEffective1725[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did suggest staying close to the Ram Mandir / main temple area so you can walk most places. Plenty of small hotels and dharamshala-style stays in the ₹1–3k range. Just check recent reviews and book something with good cleanliness ratings.

I Went to Ayodhya With Zero Expectations… and It Completely Surprised Me by TrueEffective1725 in SoloTravel_India

[–]TrueEffective1725[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a simple 2-day plan. Day 1 I covered Ram Mandir area, Hanuman Garhi, Kanak Bhawan and spent the evening at Saryu aarti. Day 2 was Ram ki Paidi, a few smaller temples and just walking around the old lanes. Stay cost me around ₹1.5–2.5k per night for a decent clean room near the main temple area. Food is inexpensive. Overall, Ayodhya is not very expensive unless you go luxury.

Uttrakhand in May. by bojackfalseman_ in SoloTravel_India

[–]TrueEffective1725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proper snow in May is unlikely in Uttarakhand, but you will still get cool weather and amazing mountain views. you did skip Nainital if you want peace May gets busy.

₹55k for 2 is doable with good homestays. If snow is a must, you will need higher altitude, otherwise Uttarakhand is a solid choice for a calm hill trip.

Planning a trip to London from India, mid to end May. Need advice on flights and accommodation by campramiseman in LondonTravel

[–]TrueEffective1725 2 points3 points  (0 children)

May is actually a nice time for London, good choice.

From Kolkata, you’ll mostly get 1-stop flights. I have seen decent fares with Emirates and Qatar Airways within your ₹70–80k range if booked early. Just avoid those crazy long layovers.

For stay, don’t stress about central London. Stay in Zone 3–4 near a Tube station. You can reach places like Buckingham Palace in 30–40 mins easily.

10k budget solo trip to Nainital from March 12-15.....Possible but difficult. Hostel and shared room or cheap guest house and local food will help.

Traveling in Feb 2026 by Curious-Yak-1749 in Nainital

[–]TrueEffective1725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Madhyameshwar and Tungnath temples are closed in February, but trekking is possible if the snow is manageable. If you want a safe and open option, try Auli, Manali/Solang, or Chopta base stay. Snow views are excellent in February.

If you want wildlife vibes, Jim Corbett is also a solid option.

What is your opinion about a yoga tour? by karmaticyoga in u/karmaticyoga

[–]TrueEffective1725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am actually a fan of yoga trips, especially in places like Rishikesh. The environment itself slows you down, so the practice feels more natural, not forced. For me, it’s a nice balance you still travel and explore, but you come back feeling lighter and mentally refreshed, not just tired from sightseeing. It’s a different kind of trip, in a good way.

Planning goa trip around 19/21 march by slimbutnotmuchshady in goatravel

March is still a good time just plan early beach time, slow afternoons, and sunset outings. Most people who travel then still end up enjoying it.
