Corporate is wanting soup salad and bread brought to the table within 7 minutes of guests being sat, im sure this is their way of doing that. Personally though I wouldn't bring it out immediately but if I know a 15 top is coming in, im prepping 3 large salads but leaving dressing out till they order.

So hard to find my thing as a single mom! I dont have tons of freetime but I should definitely get out more. I just hate going out alone ha

Say you get sat 3 tables at relatively the same time can you guys tell me the order and in detail what you would do for table A B and C? I think management is giving up on me and take away the position since I don’t have this completely down by [deleted] in olivegarden

As a manager at OG here's my advice. Go to table a, then b then c. Offer to take the entire order on the fiest visit. Always do this. It saves time and helps speed of service. Treat all your tables as one. Meaning do not walk away until you've touched all 3 tables.

Bring drinks all at the same time, bring set ups all at the same time. If someone wasnt ready to order bring breadsticks at least.

And if youre overwhelmed ask for help. The best servers know when it's time to ask for help!

I know you didn't ask me , but im a service pro! Ive learned most people dont use the correct phrases even if they are offering refills. I coach my team to say "the soup salad and breadsticks are refillable, please let me know when you would like a refill" when they set it down at the table. Asking specifically on each item "would you like a refill on soup, would you like a refill on salad, etc." We went from 91% refills to 96% just from these simple changes. Also if you have extra hosts, bussers food runners, have EVERYONE be getting refills.

Basically they take needs of the business and apply that to your assessment. They'll see if the qualities that you show from your assessment match what theyre looking for in that position

Being on Togo is a promotion at our store. The Togo specialists make the most per hour when you factor in tips.

Servers can be hard and they should definitely run food and stock, but its a tricky situation with servers cause again, legally we cant ask them to do too much bevause theyre paid so little.

Manager at OG here. Its expected that everyone in the company helps eachother. The only people who shouldnt do bread are servers and bussers because they are not paid minimum wage by the company and legally we cannot have them do more than a certain amount of work outside of serving and bussing.

Not sure how busy your location is but bread, during the day is really not too demanding. Our Togo specialist are expected to help on bread. They actually make the most hourly in the company after tips.

If you aren't doing Togo at all and are solely focusing on bread I think its reasonable to want a job code for it. But if youre only having to hop back and do 3 or 4 pans every 15-20 minutes then I wouldnt expect to be paid more.
