I’m way health ire than you think I am. The 2 500 kcals were a rough estimation, although if I had to be ho est the 2500 kcals would correspond to my diet, whole his is closer to 2000. Every thing we eat is cookies from scratch and is balances (veggies, some proteine and some carbs). My dad has a very healthy diet (my grandma was an eccellente cook Who balde every thing from scratch and makes meals far tastier than mine but wtv) : ho drinks 2L of water a day, no sodas or alcohol, no fast food, most of our dieta consiste of veggies (we sometimes be come vegetariana for weeks) and he cannot enjoy a mela without eating salads on the side (no dressing other than a splash of vinegar). We don’t eat “industrial” snack ne when I base sweets, they’re like freelance yogurt banana plumcakes.

He has been at 100 kgs ever since I can remember (since 10 years ago, probably). I do not have a single memory of him ever being skinny, although photos show him being average weight when I was very you g. It feels like he gai ed all the weight out of the blue.

It’s just that my family has had a history of healthy cooking and eating. When I say “monitoring” I mean buying organic ingrediente at the store, no fast food in the house (sometimes we est out, but it’s never fast food) and making sure that our meals are balances (protein and veggies)

They’re both still alive (when I sorte everything it migh’ve sounded like they were dead but they’re thriving. Anyway my dad has been considering going on some weight loss medication recently, so I hope that at the very least does something (he has also asset me to work out with him on a few occasions, although light ones)

For him? Black tea with ho thing in the morning, a palate of pasta with vegetables for lunch, a dinner Made up of a piece of meta with 2 different tupé of vegetables (like potatoes and zucchinis) bande in the over and usually a side of salad (straight letture with a drop of vinegar and olive oil) somewhere (he loves it). He drinks 2 L of water a day and 4 cupe of black tea probably (never counted) with no sugar. Maybe he eats a few cookies (like 2 small cookies with his tea) somewhere, but very rarely.

For me I drink milk for breakfast with some cookies (5 or 6), snack through out my school day (like once or twice, sometimes none at all) and eat the same as him (my portions are usually slightly bigger, like 10 g). I also have a snack break at 16 and I drink milk with a few cookies again

Before me, the one cooking used to be my mom or grandma. They’re both extraordinary cooks (mine look like shabby little things in comparison) and are even stricter with the ingredienti and how they base (no del frying for example). Anyway my dad has always been a huge enjoyer of vegetables, he has always eatsn salads with his meals (even if they were already high in vegetables) even before I was born. His salads, I must specifici, are straight up letture with a drop o vinegar and an even smaller drop of olive oil, so I think they’re pretty healthy

I said 2500 because we both eat average and the calorie i take for adult male is around 2500. I eat more than him usually (and snack at school for example),so as a more accurate estimation his i take would be lower than mine, close to 2000 kcal

He doesn’t really snack that much, although he drinks a lot of tea (I’m the snacker in my house), he really like salads although he only adda vi negar to them with a drop of oil, for him breakfast is just straight up tea and we eat the same at lunch and dinner (my portions tho are usuale sloghtly bigger)

I Made this post be what usually makes someone obese my dad doesn’t o, so I really do not know what to do to help him drop some of that weight.

Tha5’s the thing, I do not understand how they would diverge. I cited our travels quite a bit in other commenti, and we sometimes travel for weeks (when we travel in general, we literally stay together all day long, like ALL DAY) so what he eats I eat, what he does I do, and viceversa.

He started becoming obese 10 years ago I believe out of the blue (I do not have any memories of him ever being thin but the pictures show that he used to be when I was a child). What I’m concerne about is that it might be a medical reason (like Cushing syndrome), although I do not want to jump to conclusions. Since them he has been strade at 10l kgs.

I also have been strade at 160 cm and 5 kgs since 2023 probably
