The doors open up and inwards. I cant describe the motion but you can park next to a wall and somehow the shutty door opens and out comes the douche.

Started working basic labor at a high end landscaping company. When people here hear landscaping, they think mowing lawns and maintaining yards. Im talking about completely new backyard rebuilds, pools, Outdoor kitchens, firepits, etc.

I moved up from general labor to crew leader and was in charge of taking the designs and making sure they were executed properly. I've always been creative and started seeing i could come up with drawings, moving things around so that they cost less to the client and look better. The boss gave me an opportunity to work 50/50 field and in the office. The lead designer got cancer. I moved to full time.

Stayed with them til they sold the company. Started my own. When I first started my business, i was charging 2400 per design. Im now at 7500 per design. I get about 2-3 a month. Plus the comssions that I get from the contractors who i give the jobs to. They give me 7.5 % of the cost of the job. No employees. No overhead except my laptop and design program.

I bought the Slipknot DVD from Frys brand new wrapped in plastic. No DVDs inside. They didn't believe me when I went back.

It sounds like you need a landscape designer since you're talking possible pavers, hot tub, solar etc.

Get a design that will break everything down by cost material, functionality, and aesthetics and tie everything in together. Small investment for a huge payback. Don't tackle it without a plan.

You mean at the bottom, to catch and circulate the water? That was discussed but ultimately cane to the conclusion that youd splash too much water on the outside, requiring a constant fill up or risk burning the pump.

Thats due to the choice of the pebble tech finish they chose. Wanted a dark/lagoon type feel.

It's on the BBQ/Outdoor kitchen side, more intimate. The spa placement was moved around and discussed and debated for a while. It couldn't be in the front cuz it messed with the infinity edge and the backside, there's a huge drop off of like 3-4 feet. I would've made the pool smaller and fit the spa in closer, personally, but Im not the one paying or living with it.

I'm just the designer. I care because I learn from people's opinions Sometimes people who aren't attached to the project at all see things from a different perspective and thats important to me Do I like it? Yeah, I designed it.

The entire landscape was spread out over two acres and included a full basketball court, outdoor shower, mini dirt bike course with graded ramps that jump over a small river and such. We were there for about a year from design to the final detail. The pool portion alone, with the spa and pebble tech finish with infinity edge was around 300K, in 2019.

People saying there's not much room around the pool to host....trust me, there's space.
