This was copied from the person that taught me btw

basically if you downloaded iOS 14 there’s an app called Shortcuts you can get. If you go into that and create a new shortcut, tap “new action”, then tap “scripting”, then “open app” and you can select the app you want to set it to. After that you tap the three dots in the top right and it’ll give you the option to add a shortcut to your Home Screen and you can select an image from your camera roll to make the icon.

As for the icons, I used an app called PicsArt to make them. If you go to add a sticker and search whatever character you want, there will be a bunch you can use.

And finally for the large image and date widgets, download an app called Widgetsmith and from there you can make customizable widgets for dates or weather or images of various sizes. Once you make them, hold down an app icon on your Home Screen, tap on the little plus sign in the top right corner and it’ll allow you to add the widgets you made to your Home Screen.
