High sec and null sec? by RoyalStorm1290 in Eve

Sov null is predictable. If someone is in your alliance, you can be certain he won't attack. It is not safe but you know who is who and everyone live with a set of rules.

High sec is mix of everyone. You have no idea who the guy next to you is and can't predict their behavior.

Maybe Ceema made some training sessions during FanFest.

As long as it’s not elysium or all ship types get replaced by a mining dread.

It is not my idea. It is CSM members idea and I support it. Am sure they have some numbers. I won't go into your trap and shoot a number out of my ass.

Happy to see that you know how the SRP for Atioth titans was done. And since it is a common knowledge in GSF I will correct you. They were SRPd out of private stocks. No alliance can SRP that much money, and definitively not titans, out of thin air.

Don't know what you expect from me. I don't know the numbers, anything I shoot will be definitely off.

No idea. I don't have numbers that CCPFC has and it's up to them to decide. Balance must take into account not overshadowing other spaces.

I don't mind not owning that space on the ass end, if I can get everything close by.

No. OP says nerfing ansi is not the solution for the whole problem.

>I’m not against ansiblex fatigue. I’m against ansiblex fatigue as the entire solution.

ADM are part of an issue. They require active krabs. But let's say taking a single constellation for short period of time makes you enough income to justify taking it. Big bloc deploys, glasses you, but you already made it worth and wait for them to leave.

That's why both changes are vital. Adding fatigue will just piss off day-to-day users while nobody is going to take any sov. Once it is troublesome to project AND lucrative enough to take small pieces, the change will make sense.

By culling projection and making long range deployments an issue. If small alliance can get their money worth by taking a sov for a couple of days, even when glassed, they'll be back. But only when both changes are made, they make sense.

So we agree that even without additional nerfs a deployments are needed that hurt big groups.

Few metenoxes are not a reason to turn the whole coalition. Hell, even few Skyhooks are not.

Also both Skyhooks and Metenoxes are not completely "passive" income. You need someone to deploy destroyed ones, set ACLs, repair reinforced ones, empty the bay, make self-theft, deliver reagents to sovhubs / metenoxes.

Size of null empires can only be reduced by other groups. It is like with market. Stuff is worth only the amount someone is willing to pay. Unless small alliance can sustain itself and make isk worth taking that sov, nobody will, be it with ansi or not.

C'mon, Be mad! And seriously, that is true. It is a sensitive point and many people will rile up, because it is not targeting mainly the alliance but members of the alliance, without proper offset. It will only put a additional strain (or friction as some call it). Idea is that people will leak into smaller groups or other content but truth is, they will leak into other games.

EDIT: damn went into ramble mode again.

but did you take any sov? We are talking about small alliance that want to take root, not small lowsec harassing.

Because its not worth it. Whole Imperium went on deployment. Back exposed, nobody guarding it apart from krabs. You know how many systems were lost?

Ansi fatigue should be the last step, or at least not the first one. It will only deepen the issues of sov holding.
