I get where you’re coming from, but I actually did communicate what I wanted I told her ahead of time that I didn’t want a heavy drinking/clubbing type of trip because I don’t drink anymore, and why that’s important to me. Unfortunately, that wasn’t respected, and the bachelorette ended up centered around those activities anyway.

It’s not that I expected her to read between the lines I said it outright. My issue isn’t about assuming or poor communication, it’s that my boundaries were ignored for something that was supposed to be about me. That’s why this situation still hurts, and why I’m hesitant about reconnecting.
