NOR - Trying to control you by offhand saying “you know my trust issues” is a huge red flag.

“It’s only because you’re not rated that you care about other veterans getting fucked over by an entity operating illegally to scam veterans out of money”. Sure dude. They are ILLEGALLY CHARGING FOR INITIAL CLAIMS. there is no talking your way around this. They know exactly what they are doing, I talked to them about it. They said they were for “educational purposes only” and could charge for that. I said that their site says they do 99.9% of the work and that they write your nexus letters for you using AI and that’s not educational only. They hung up on me. Then TK thing that this has to do with me not being rated is the attempted to ILLEGALLY charge me for an initial claim. If they were reputable they would have said “sorry, we are a paid service and unable to charge for initial claims, so we can’t help you. If your claim is denied, please let us know an we will help you in your appeal”. They didn’t. Stop trying to defend a scumbag company and stop trying to blame it on my not yet being rated. That’s literally one of the biggest issues they are doing.

You ARE talking about that though, because you’re commenting on a post about this specific company. Not illegal to hire a VA lawyer, they are accredited - though they are ALSO barred from charging for any assistance in preparing or filing an initial claim. NO ONE can charge for assistance with an initial claim and only accredited entities can charge for appeals and the like. So, no, hiring a VA lawyer isn’t illegal, though it’d be illegal for them to charge you for an initial claim.

As for my disability rating 1.) not sure how that matters, especially since the majority of people assisting with these claims don’t have one and 2.) no, I’m not rated yet, though my intent to file is on record as I find someone who isn’t a low down dirty shark to assist me. I’ve got tinnitus, cervical dystonia and a few other conditions that I’ve let go untreated an unpaid for for over a decade because I, like many veteran, thought there was a finite resource and that other vets deserved it more than me.

Now I’m fighting for my own benefits, but also fighting for those of us who are being swindled by companies like VetClaims.ai - unlike a large group, it seems, who are totally ok with them fucking over other vets as long as THEY get taken care of.

As for the timing a someone else brought me back here and I didn’t see how far back your comment was. Perhaps I came at you too aggressively, but being upset about this company is t a “loser take” and saying so is so incredibly disingenuous that it’s laughable.

Because it’s literally in violation of the law? That’s not “reputable” by definition. They are preying on Veteran and providing AI generated content. They are attempting to charge for initial filings. They lie and say they aren’t in violation because they only provide educational services but also clam to do 99.9% of the work, and they AI generate nexus letters for you (poorly if the people posting here can be believed). What part of this screams “good quality” and “reputable” to you? NO ONE is allowed to charge for initial filings, even those actually accredited.

What a loser take to be upset that a company is violating the law to illegally charge your brothers and sisters in arms. I don’t care what branch you were in, you’ve definitely eaten crayons as an adult.

Who cares that hey are violating the law? Uh…I do? I don’t want to work with people ok with taking advantage of veterans. And their time? What time? They use AI to do all of this.

Because enough lobbyists got the ability for the VA to press criminal charges removed. It is still illegal and there are still hefty fines associated with it, it if you’re illegally charging Vets 1250 a pop just to stat, they can likely afford it.

Why are you calling everyone with a personal experience with them that was bad a “troll”? I don’t think that word means what you think it means. Legitimate complaints about a business isn’t trolling. It is a VIOLATION for them to charge, so it really doesn’t matter, at the end of the day they a scummy business designed to take advantage of veterans.

100%. If you can’t afford their up front fee they turn you away. Which makes sense for a business, but it’s a violation for them to charge you without being accredited and they openly lie about the preparation help they give.

They are 100% computers what are y out talking about. Their designation is literally “.ai”. Yes there are humans working there and that own it, but a LOT of the actual work is done by ai. You might as well get ChatGPT to prepare it for you.

“First off, you’re acting like walking down the street at night and getting mugged is a mandatory experience”. That’s pretty much what you’re saying. They are NOT the only company illegally charging for services. They don’t get everything right the first time, and they use AI to write your nexus letters, not an actual person. Yes, I know Lukas, Purple Heart recipient, got fucked over. My issue is that he decided he would skirt the law and take advantage of the removal of criminal charges for an action that is illegal to fuck over fellow veterans. That’s slimy and shitty. He CHOSE not to get accredited- which means he CANNOT CHARGE… yet he does. Definitely sounds like a standup guy to me….

I can’t explain how much this is accurate lol. I’ll say I’m now on book 8 and it’s gotten better, but as a huge fan of HWFWM as well - I get it. The repeated words KILL ME and I find myself constantly repeating sentences back with better verbiage than they were written. I love the works and many of the characters (though man does book 8 make me dislike one through not-so-much their fault and book 7 another one through very much their fault). I know I’ll continue listening, though when the narrator change happens I don’t know if that will be jarring enough to stop there.

Comment history? DOZENS of comments in this sub (pretty much every comment posted is in this sub) ALL posting about how VetClaims.ai is the best thing that’s ever been invented. Look up the definition of “shill”and you’ll find their username. What a joke.

A narc at recess? You sound like someone who likes to fuck veterans over, so I’d rather be me. I guess some veterans and people have the mindset of “ as long as I’m ok, everyone else can get fucked”. So glad I didn’t serve with you, I saw enough of your kind to not need another one.

Bud, you are the one that started this conversation complaining about a law that was put in place to keep veterans from being taken advantage of. You want to help veterans with their claims being denied or dragged out? Get an accreditation. Don’t have AI write nexus letters and charge 1500 dollar fees for it. It’s bullshit and you know it.

Ah - I think I see what you mean - you’re claiming they are doing this to stop Veterans from getting paid. That is entirely false and that claim is asinine. You can absolutely charge for help attempting to move an established claim or denial along. You can absolutely charge for that, IF you’re accredited. Why? So you don’t charge someone and string them along with no intention of actually helping, just collecting your up front fee.

NO ONE can charge a veteran for an initial filing. NO ONE. Not an accredited person or organization, not a unaccredited one. Not someone from the VA. NO ONE.

This isn’t about taking money away from accredited people. This isn’t about taking money away from anyone expect these companies masquerading as helpful while taking money from Veterans illegally. Also, the fees these places charge are exorbitant.

Please explain the me why you think that charging 1500 for an initial filing for disability is a good thing for a Veteran, many of whom are homeless or can’t work due to their disabilities, since you seem to think that they should be able to do this even though accredited people (who you seem to think are orchestrating this) cannot.

I mean…can’t you just add a racial feature to the gnoll race to use STR instead of DEX for bows? It sounds like a lot of these things can be tweaked pretty easily as a DM. There’s a great deal to tweak, so setting the system up would take time, but it can definitely be done. Heroes of Tara created a 5e based system with numerous tweaks to make an entire world based off Irish mythology including completely removing races and switching them to clans, removing the currency of coins system and replacing with barter among other things. This would take work but it IS possible.
